#TheDarkKnight Rewatched this, and still really like it. Particularly with the whole conflict with Joker. They do a great job establishing him as this agent of chaos within the already crime-filled Gotham, and it's interesting to see how Batman handles that.

#YoungJustice - Targets Really good Red Arrow episode. I like seeing his mostly solo mission, and interactions with Lex. Some nice minor progression with the main story, with Aqualad learning there may be a mole, and that ending reveal. The school stuff was ok, but not great.

#Scrubs Good start to the season, especially episode 2. These episodes really show how much Cox adds to the show. I like how they're following up on his story from last season. Also, nice use of the newer characters, and their interactions with the original trio.

#ILoveLucy - The Quiz Show This was really enjoyable episode, with several funny parts. I particularly liked Lucy's unique way of deciding which bills to pay, the Bonnie song at the radio station, and especially the whole bit with the "second husband" near the end.

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

#BarneyMiller - The Arsonist A pretty good episode, with a nice mix of guest characters. My favorites being the store owner reporting vandalism and robberies at his store, and the guy who shoots a candy vending machine. The arsonist himself was pretty fun too.

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

#FridayThe13thTheNewBlood While I wouldn't put it in my favorites, I still thought this was enjoyable for what it was. I could see some people not liking the addition of Tina's abilities, and some of that drama was forced, but overall I thought they were a fun twist.

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

#ILoveLucy - Lucy Thinks Ricky Is Trying To Murder Her Another really funny episode. I like the setup of Lucy getting really into the murder mystery book, including the running gag of getting shocked out of it. Great use of Lucy's dynamics with Ricky and Ethel here.

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

#Scrubs - My Big Mouth Two really good stories here. I liked the JD story, again showing the interesting dynamic he has with Carla. And Elliot's story really worked for me, especially when she reaches her breaking point from giving patients bad news, and her talk with Cox.

Lately, I've been reminiscing about comedies I grew up on, like: I Love Lucy MASH The Andy Griffith Show The Drew Carey Show Roseanne Family Ties Cheers Frasier Taxi Fresh Prince of Bel-Air All in the Family The Jeffersons Sanford and Son Three's Company Seinfeld Who's the Boss

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

#YoungJustice - Bereft This one was really good. I like how it handles the group's amnesia to build its mystery. Also, nice use of the whole ensemble, especially M'Gann. The main confrontation at the end was really well done, with some very nice animation.

020

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

#ILoveLucy - The Diet The main idea can be seen as an interesting critique on showbusiness' warped views on weight, and the excessive lengths to maintain it. Some parts were really funny, like the dinner scene. Though it could definitely be uncomfortable with how far she goes.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

#Bowfinger Rewatched this one (saw it as a teen), and thought it held up well overall. Makes great use of both Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy, with the latter being particularly good. Also, fun take on certain known aspects of Hollywood.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#BatmanDay Batman's always been my favorite superhero, and that's even more true now. I could list all my favorites if not for character limits, but I'll say BTAS is my favorite, the 80s-90s movies are nostalgic, and Brave and the Bold is my most pleasant recent surprise.

001

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#YoungJustice - Downtime Really liked how this explores Aqualad's life back in Atlantis. The relationship drama with his friends was handled pretty well, without being overdone. And nice underwater action scenes.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

#ILoveLucy - Be a Pal A pretty good set-up, showing Lucy and Ricky's marriage in a rut, and Lucy concerned about her appeal. But it's really an excuse to have Lucille Ball show off her comedic talent in different situations. My favorite being Lucy joining the poker game.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

#Scrubs - My Case Study Pretty good episode. The central plot with JD being torn between entering the contest and not wanting to displease Cox was the best part, easily. I also like the idea of Carla and Elliot realizing they don't have much in common.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

#SouthPark #SouthParkS29 I really like how they're handling this season so far: A running joke to continue to poke fun of Trump, while not having that take away from the main characters' stories. Wouldn't say it was a favorite episode, but it was a lot of fun.

010

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

#Tenet While I wouldn't put it among my favorite Christopeher Nolan movies, I thought it was a lot of fun for what it was. Kind of a mix between The Night Manager (coincidentally also starring Elizabeth Debicki) and the video game Quantum Break.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#ILoveLucy - The Girls Want to Go to the Night Club A good introduction to the dynamics that Fred and Ethel bring. Plot-wise, there are better ones later, but there's a lot of good comedy here. I particularly like the later scene with Ricky and Fred's "dates."

020

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

#ILoveLucy - The Lost Pilot Apparently a version of the regular episode "The Audition." Pretty rough around the edges, but it was still fun. You can tell Lucy and Desi were talented and played off each other really well. I'm glad they made some changes to the show though.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

#WesCravensNewNightmare Really like the use of meta elements here, giving a fresh take on the traditional ideas from the main series. Manages to be creepy like the earlier movies, even with some sillier moments. A much better extension to the series than NoES6.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

After the Emmy's Legacy Award got me nostalgic for the show, I ordered the complete #ILoveLucy DVDs, which should be arriving later today. Really looking forward to diving back into one of the main shows that helped spark my love for classic sitcoms.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

#Scrubs - My Nightingale A pretty good episode overall. I like the look at JD, Turk, and Elliot having more responsibilities during the night shift. And Carla's great in the supporting role here. The side-story with Cox realizing his feelings for Jordan was nice as well.

001

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

#BarneyMiller - Heat Wave Interesting to see how they handled some tougher topics here, and unfortunately some jokes are pretty rough by today's standards. Still, it does have its moments, and the last part of the spousal abuse story kind of saves that part for me.

010

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

TV highlight: Boy Meets World The "Coming of Age" series that I grew up with as it aired. I really liked the progression of the of the stories, as it went from wholesome kid's comedy to relatively more mature dramedy. I remember Shawn being my favorite character.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

#YoungJustice - Denial A nice breath of fresh air. Both because of the introduction to the magical side of the DC universe, and because there's relatively little team drama this time. Wally was fun here, between his dynamic with the girls, and his continued denial of magic.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

#Scrubs - My Overkill Really good way to follow up the season 1 finale. I like how it handles the tension between the different pairs of characters after Jordan's big scene last episode. And it still manages to be funny and quirky, starting with the fun opening with Colin Hay.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

#BarneyMiller - Ambush Another good episode. I like seeing them dealing with fake calls leading to an ambush. And it was fun seeing Dick O'Neil again. He did a good job in his scenes.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

#StarTrekDS9 - Broken Link Nice to see more development for Odo, and exploration of the Founders. The mystery of Odo's illness is interesting, and I like how everyone responds to it. Garak's great as always. And the ending does a great job setting up next season.

020

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

#SpyroReignitedTrilogy Just finished the last game in this collection. I liked 2 and 3 more than 1, but they were all good for what they were. Some pretty frustrating parts (and I didn't go for 100%), but overall fun games.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

#BatmanBegins This may be overshadowed by The Dark Knight's legacy, but I still think this is a really good start to the series. I like how it explores the early stages of Bruce's life as Batman, and how that affects his normal life.

010

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

#BarneyMiller - The Layoff Obvious ending aside, I really liked this one. The main plot in particular, with they deal so many layoffs. Some really funny moments here, and they made good use of pretty much everyone IMO.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

#Scrubs - My Last Day A really good season finale. I like how it feels like a full-circle thing to round out the year. Nice to see everyone work together for the one patient. But man, that ending with Jordan was a great way to turn things around, and set up for next season.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

#DeadMenDontWearPlaid This one was clever. I can see people with more extensive noir experience loving this on a deeper level, but as it is, I still enjoyed it for what it was. Steve Martin does a good job with the mostly dry delivery, mixed with some of his typical humor.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

#Robocop Watched this for the first time. Definitely felt the pre-Starship Troopers vibes, even before knowing it was the same director. While I liked Starship Troopers more personally, this does a really good job with its own satirical action and world-building.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

#BarneyMiller - The Social Worker A few good stories here. Nice to see Barney's wife get more development, through her new job as a social worker. Both Fish's memory issues and Wojo and the signed baseball were fun plots. And the forger was good for a few laughs.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

#Scrubs - My Hero Great continuation of the last episode, if slightly lower than that. Again, Brendan Fraser's really good here, and I like seeing Cox struggle to handle the knowledge of his diagnosis, and JD's response to that. And both Turk's and Elliot's stories were fun.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

#BarneyMiller - Doomsday Good start to season 2. Liked the plot with the man wearing dynamite. Some funny reactions, and it shows how times change, but some things stay the same. The plots with the priest and plumber were fun, but they could have done more with the priest.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

#HundredLine That certainly was an experienced. The length was its greatest strength and weakness, where it made for some really uneven parts, but let them explore the story and characters in pretty interesting ways. Would be interesting to see what they'd do with DLC.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

#YoungJustice - Schooled Really good Superboy episode. As frustrating as his attitude could be here, they do a good job with it, and his growth later on. And the action here was really good, between the fight with the robots, and nice use of Amazo's powers.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

#TheLonelyGuy While it took a little while to click, I thought this was a good Steve Martin movie, even if not one of his best. A pretty interesting mix of dry humor and over-the-top comedy that mostly works. And I like its more human themes, particularly in the latter half.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

#Scrubs - My Occurrence OK, that was great. One of the best so far. Loved Brendan Fraser's character, and his dynamics with Cox, Jordan and JD. The comedy was really good, but they do a great job with the dramatic weight of Ben's situation, and JD having to give the bad news.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

#Dunkirk I really liked this one, even if I can see why it wouldn't appeal to everyone. Basically, it does a great job pulling off the tense, atmospheric action that it goes for, without worrying too much about much else.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

#YoungJustice - Drop-Zone This one was really good. I liked the idea of this covert mission behind enemy lines. Seeing the evolving team dynamics, particularly with the team leader debate was nice. And I liked this version of Bane, and his interactions with the team.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

#FreddysDeadTheFinalNightmare For what was meant to be the finale #NightmareOnElmStreet movie, this could have been much better. Takes the cheesiness to new heights, and some parts were kind of fun, it just didn't work too well overall. Weakest of the main series for sure.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

This may not be the best birthday due to some IRL stuff I've been going through, but I tried to take time to relax and enjoy myself. Also got an 8 movie Christopher Nolan collection, which I actually planned to get down the line. Watched The Prestige, which was a trip.

010

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

#TrailsInTheSky Just finished this game. I thought it was a very good first part in the series. Some really good characters, both with the main Joshua/Estelle duo, and the various companion. They do a great job building the story throughout, and setting things up for part 2.

020

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

#Scrubs - My Sacrificial Clam I really liked the two stories with JD and Elliott not living up to their own standards as doctors. And Turk's scenes were fun, with him dealing with his insecurities. And as usual, Cox is a highlight, with his interactions with JD and Turk.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

One random thought that's been on my mind lately is how big #SNL's influence has been. Introducing many big-name movie actors, major TV actors and writers (i.e. Tina Fey), writers who became famous (i.e. Bob Odenkirk), and now-famous talk show hosts that worked on or off screen.

000

Donuteater111 @donuteater111.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

#TheJerk Rewatched this after a few decades, and liked it a lot. Great twist on the rags-to-riches trope, with some really good over-the-top humor. Steve Martin is really good in the role, and I liked seeing his evolution throughout the movie.
