Just finished The Obelisk Gate by N. K. Jemisin! I really really loved The Fifth Season but for some reasons, I had some difficulties with this one. I understand it might be a book of transition and maybe Jemisin's writing got a bit strained in the process. A bit claustrophobic too. 3.5/5! #booksky

Rereading 07-ghost After 15 years and it's so heartwarming. Quite silly from time to time but I quite miss the unseriousness of old shonen mangas. Also really more queercoded than I Remember, in the vastest meaning of the term. Lots lots lots of found family and polycules lmao.

I meeeeean I'm not doing great mentally and I have this idea for a Suguru-centric extremely gorey and grotesque fic and I don't know what to do with it as I don't have the time neither the energy to write it off and I'm not sure it'd be read anyway (tw: gore, miscarriage, pregnancy, mental illness)

In which Suguru’s curse manipulation has worse effects on his body and somehow he starts accumulating black energy in his stomach, to the point he starts developing these “fetuses” made of black matter that never get to the end of a full pregnancy. Suguru after the inventory arc is becoming accostumed to these false pregnancies resolving themselves in painful and gory miscarriages. He gets thinner an thinner but his baggy clothes give the illusion that everything is fine and his belly is always covered. Gojo is aware of it (he sorta sees a huge “sphere” of curse energy through Geto’s clothes) but he doesn’t dare asking Geto what is really happening. So Suguru get through this thing alone and once he becomes a cult leader he starts thinking about ways his condition could be useful: he becomes delusional and convinces himself that he could get his curses to reproduce in his “womb” in a way or another (things get very extreme and gory, such as slashing himself open during sex to “fertilize” it better, idk).
