Can’t actually tell from this angle if she’s just very pregnant or has a kid in her pouch, but it’s definitely one or the other.

RIP David Malouf, a friend of my dad's since school, and his colleague at UQ. When I was 9, we visited his Italian home and instead of asking about his books, plays, poems and libretti, I quizzed him about wild boar due to my Asterix fixation. A real Brisbane icon. Glad I caught up w him last year.

On Rod Taylor's birthday, it's time to unveil the truth that at some point he hops on his famous Time Machine and becomes #KumailNanjiani. I don't know if the chronometric rays partially bake him, or the Morlocks leech the melanin from him, but they are the same person, possible Gallifreyan.
Two images of the Australia movie star Rod Taylor showing an axeblade chin, slightly hawkish nose and eyebrows, at least in the second black and white shot, that Sam the Eagle from the Muppet Show would be proud of. One is a cropped still from The Birds, another a close up black and white headshot.
They are contrasted with two photos of Kumail Nanjiani in similar poses, one at a Knives Out premiere and another a black and white portrait.
Not included - a still of Rod Taylor at the controls of 1964's The Time Machine because I couldn't be bothered. But guess what? He looks like Kumail in that, too.

My extremely controversial take about this week's Strange New Worlds has been brewing for a while. I think if you placed your hands on either side of Lt Ortegas' head, with your thumbs at her hairline and pushed up very lightly, her hair would pop off like a Lego minifig. I said what I said.
