I said it wasn't the only reason, but for new drugs it's a big portion. Obviously, there are other areas because medications do tend to be cheaper in Europe. It's a place to start.

Agree 100%. I do think the biggest problems we have is corporate, but they need guidelines and relief from regulation.We have one of the strictest sets of regulations to produce new drugs.It's not the only reason drug price is so high, but it's a good portion.Medical equipment and supply is another.

I don't understand medical billing and quite frankly I'm not sure there are many that do. I agree that is certainly a place to start, but I know too many doctors that were convicted for Medicare fraud. Millions of dollars each. The corporations aren't the only villains in the Healthcare system.

Because none of them address the escalating cost of care and medications. It's literally a blank check for medical providers, equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, etc. Again, no new money. Better care. Better coverage less grifting from practitioners and corp profiteering.

Generally speaking. So, generally that it's contradictory. The main complaint is wait times. Wait times are an unavoidable reality in their Medicare system. Same in Britain. If given a better alternative, they'd jump all over it. I mentioned the better models globally.

Now, many don't want to have to pay for insurance as a tax whether they like it or not. Many don't get good coverage in Obama's plan and to be fair he did say it was supposed to be a starting point. The current system is garbage and very expensive. That's not solely Maga's or Republicans fault.

Completely agree. Let's really look hard at what works. Britain and Canada don't work. The Scandinavian's, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, are certainly examples worth looking at. We cannot take private insurance or increase taxes and spending to do it is what most people are saying.

I'm not saying that at all. We spend enough. As you said the money is there. It must be reallocated. How much fraud is committed by practitioners? The system is wasteful and fraught with profiteering, but quite a bit is committed by the personnel within the system. Spending more is not the answer.

Completely agree. We've got serious problems with financial waste in this country. The exact same thing can be said about education. There is no perfect system, but we should have something pretty great with all the money we spend. We need drastic changes in government and it's coming.
