I love doing short rescues bc it's just nudging them. Gently pulling them aside, just outside the blast radius. Casually give them a thumbs up to confirm they're fine and leave to clean up the body of the other guy you couldn't rescue.

huge blast to the past with this comic from 2023? Or so? anyways no one knows when ham’s bday is because hamaon keeps avoiding her ire #hamhammedia #hore

Comic with a scary ham and nervous hamaon.
Ham: I think my friends were right about you.
Hamaon: oh? About what?
Ham: you always dismiss me, and you’re always taking credit. I don’t think you respect me at all.

Hamaon: is that what you think?
Ham is silent.
Hamaon: I see. I have something to say to you as well
Hamaon with the emergency party popper: happy name day!!! It’s your birthday!!! Yay!!!
Ham, instantly appeased: omg really!!
Hamaon, sweating with a thumbs up: yep!

i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

Fic is closer to finishing the final chapter. After that, I'll reread/rewrite and have a friend beta, fix it up, and release it a chapter at a time. I'm using this as motivation to draw illustrations for each one. Gotta learn to draw Varis :(

🌘VOIDCALL🌒, part 1 (43 pages) is up on Patreon in full for patrons $5 & above. Ever since her days as a student, Y'shtola finds her gaze drawn to a tragic pattern. (Thancred/Y'shtola) While not explicit, this work is intended for mature audiences only. www.patreon.com/theyoungdoyl...

The cover for Voidcall. Y'shtola stares through a window made by her fingers.

A comic set sometime between 1.0 and ARR.
Y'shtola: Do... do you trust Thancred?
Y'shtola: Do you...
Y'shtola: ... feel safe with him?

Minfilia, whose hand had been upon Y'shtola's, gently encouraging, draws away.

A comic set something during 1.0 and ARR.
Minfilia, hand drawn to her chest: Why...

-the scene segues to Ryne circa Shadowbringers, still going by the name Minfilia.
Minfilia: ...why wouldn't I?
Y'shtola gazes down, expression as tired as it is unreadable.

Julian's signature sage move would be projecting a shield while thrusting forward, creating a battering ram. Which is on brand for her Azem being Chrysomallos.

I feel my liberal use of the block and mute features has really worked out because every time I hear about the "anti lalafell character of the week" I'm in the dark. I kind of want to rubber neck but I've probably already blocked them for being puritanical or annoying.

oldie (but relevant again) (maybe) (???)

(during the Eden storyline) Ryne asks the warrior of light, "What was Shiva like? What do you think of when you think of ice?"

an image of memories of ysayle reflected in shards of ice - her determination, her shattered hopes, beefing with Estinien, adoring moogles - and, in the center, our last memory of her, falling through the skies

The warrior of light covers his face, unable to reply. "I don't know what Shiva was like," he thinks, "When I think of ice I think of my friend."
