I preached Sunday that empire begins by attacking a nation’s memory. Pharaoh’s first move in Exodus 1 is forgetting. 3 days later came the plan for warning signs outside the National Museum of American History. Before laws change, the story changes. Forget the immigrant, then fear their children.

Almost 40 years after I first visited colleges, I’m doing it again with my daughter. Colleges have a lot to say about what their education will do for her, their ROI. I’m increasingly interested in a more important question: Who will she become? #college #tours thewychefamily.com/college-tour...

At a housing training this spring, a presenter walked us through the math behind building a small affordable project–it reframed how I think about the whole debate. I wrote up a little reflection on what I learned, including the question I can't stop asking: who is going to close the gap? #a2council

Hey 🏗️, Finally, have my internal CRM up and running with daily tasks. I just completed the first task generated by my CRM. It’s nice to see all my trials and leads in one place and to know exactly where they are in the sales funnel—and what my next step is to close them. 🙌🏾 #buildinpublic
This image shows a customer relationship management (CRM) software interface named "Amplify," displayed on a computer screen. The interface features a left-hand vertical navigation panel with several menu items such as Dashboard, Campaigns, Conversations, Customers, and Features. The main part of the screen is focused on the "View Customer" section, highlighted with John Customer's profile, including tabs like "Email," "Leads," "Interactions," "Intent Surveys," and "Insights." It details the customer's name, email address, phone number, and a confidence score of 100%. There is also a display of the "Current Status" indicating that John is a lead in the Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) stage, and that there was last contact with the customer 4 hours before the current time. Below this section, there's a "Customer Journey Timeline" summarizing the interactions with dates, indicating key touchpoints such as interactions, lead creation, and form submissions. This interface is designed to give a comprehensive overview of customer interactions and status within the company’s sales pipeline.

This image displays a promotional email from CareNote, addressed to Donnell Wyche, detailing updates and features for their latest software release, CareNote Version 5. The email highlights the enhancements made since the user last tried the software on August 22, 2025, and it invites the user to look at the most complete pastoral care system currently available. Key features listed include Group Auto-Assignments, Care Assignments, Privacy Dashboard, Document Security, Reports & Dashboards, Integrations & Sync, and more. Additionally, the email states that the user's trial has been reactivated for seven days until November 26, 2025, with a reminder that if the user does not subscribe by November 30, 2025, their account will be automatically deleted. There's also a note about locking in legacy pricing at $15 per month or $10 per month if paid annually. The design is simple, with clear, organized sections for each feature and corresponding calls to action.

Hey 🏗️, After the emotional setback of my first, and hopefully last, refund request from an early sponsor, I woke up to an email from a new customer who’s onboarding and eager to share CareNote with colleagues in sister churches. The ups and downs of building a SaaS. #buildinpublic
This image displays CareNote version 5 web application interface, focusing on their "SMS Care Request Acceptance" feature, which allows for quick assignment and acceptance of care requests via SMS. The top of the image shows the web browser interface with tabs and the address bar displaying the CareNote website. In the main content area, a bluish header introduces the feature, and sections below describe how it works, in steps, emphasizing real-time care activation through simple SMS interactions. On the right, a simulated phone screen shows an example of a new care request and the response options. A testimonial at the bottom from "Brad — Pastoral Care Pastor", praises the efficiency of the service. The image conveys a modern, efficient medical administrative tool designed to streamline the care process. The footer encourages starting a trial with CareNote. This layout is professional, highlighting practicality and ease of use of the software.

Hey 🏗️, Bittersweet day: a large church signed up, but one of my earliest CareNote sponsors cancelled and asked for a refund––a first for me. But I also shipped SMS care-request acceptance and email-to-CareNote forwarding, features I’ve long dreamt about but never had time to build. #buildinpublic
This image shows a mobile application interface for managing care requests, featuring a series of text messages and response options. At the top, a message states "CareNote: Care Request created for Tyrone Poldark," with options to reply "MORE" for details, "ACCEPT" to take the request, or "PASS" to decline. Below, another detailed message describes the care request for Tyrone Poldark, specifying that it is a "General Check-In" required by November 13, 2025. It notes that Tyrone is recovering from surgery and needs meals for the next two weeks, with prompts to "ACCEPT" if the user wishes to take up the request or "PASS" to decline. Lastly, a final message at the bottom indicates that the user has accepted the care request, with directions to view full details in CareNote or reply with "HELP" for more options. All these elements are presented within a dark-themed user interface that enhances readability and contrast.

This article/podcast shows the failure of white progressives like Klein: he rejects class solidarity with Black people and the Black experience in the US. Even as Coates draws the parallels, Klein clings to "power-first" politics—where human dignity can be sacrificed now and hopefully fixed later.
