4 of those 6 years were with a manager who I could never do right by, so I feel like she still has some influence in keeping me where I am

Sorry, I’m kind of bitter boots about this still. I appreciate the support. It’s just hard feeling like I’m always putting in 110% and am never recognized in a way that’s meaningful (telling me “good job!” ≠ more money and a title bump)

Used a pressure washer today, all that was missing for my @donnatella.bsky.social cosplay was a Carhartt t-shirt

Leaving Europe today and it’s been a mess at every step. Apparently to can’t check in at the airport until at most 2 hours before your flight time? There’s literally no one at the desk. Also, the tax free process is so confusing I just gave up on it. The found out a store gave me the wrong receipt

I think the same about us too, but more from a point of existential dread

Ordered the sorbussy and it was delicious (green apple, with apple liqueur)

I know I'm not one to talk, given my recent artistic endeavors, but it always reads as "cheap knockoff" to me when card games specially emulate the 90s Pokemon Base Set art style. Nostalgic leitmotifs are strong, yeah, but they also can quickly cross the line into cliché

Instagram ad for the card game ESCAPE LAND -free the monsters- which uses artwork very similar to Ken Sugimori’s early Pokemon works

No, although that would be cool to see one day too! I think someone already answered but this is the Duomo in Milan. Confusingly, I just learned a lot of cathedrals are called “The Duomo”, as I am also seeing another Duomo in Florence this coming weekend

I did! An art store in Boston had a sale going on right before schools went back, so I got a $24 book for like $8

I also do comics, apparently (this was intended as a gift, she loves Rocko)

The finished piece! Vaporeon is actually quite challenging to draw 🎣

I’ve been using Tombrow, which you can get packs of them for like $20 at a craft store (or individuals for like $3.50 each, roughly). They take a little getting used to, but it’s nice to use them as “paint” or as straight markers too

Recreating Ken Sugimori-styled Eeveelutions using watercolor markers 🤩 I got impatient and the black ink ran on Jolteon’s face, but I am really happy with how the coloring of Flareon’s fluff came out
