So should we compromise with people who think "illegal immigrants" should be shot, "foreigners (e.g. not white, on a very narrow criteria) deported and dictators like Putin pandered to? Oh and LGBTQ rights rolled back? As pretty much all of them want these things. How do you compromise with that?

So an actual MP is advocating using the British Military to kill unarmed civilians that present no threat to life to just appeal to racists? And that is not incitement to racial violence or bringing the House Into Disrepute, but voicing 'legitimate concerns about serious issues".

Child poverty in 2013 was 27%. 31% by 2024. The poverty rate for working-age adults with children is 25% - up 3% since 2012. Driven by housing, welfare cuts, insecure work. Cannot think why people are not having kids.

High-density server engineering is forcing rapid efficiency gains via zero-water closed loops. It was more to make the nuanced point that whilst the environmental impact of data centres a worry, is easy target & possibly shouldn't be the only worry. Perhaps more what they are doing in them.

Also Dldata centers often pull treated drinking water - gold course don't - and flush back mineral-heavy, heated wastewater that strains local infrastructure. Not just ground water heating it is sewage systems under strain. Even so, focus is shifting.

Apparently US golf courses use 530 billion gallons of water a year whereas currently data centres use 17.4 billion. Admittedly data centres are expanding rapidly and are concentrated not over acres of land but still, maybe the water thing on the face of it is not a huge issue?

Sadly the house building industry and roads and infrastructure also depends on immigrant labour. I think any serious thought shows the concerns are not legitimate. Stop The Boats is a policy looking for a justification. It is racism looking for an excuse.

And of course repeatedly studies have shown immigrants, overall, commit less crime, contribute more tax . Yes they do cause short term challenges to public services e.g. schools but for instance a huge chunk of NHS is immigrants. & We have a housing shortage so more people is an issue
