Aunt Julia's Cabin (Part 2/3) - Gator Days

Donkey @donkeycomic.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

Lady Dulatrixica grew up reading the books of the smaller races. Her collection of literature became her favorite part of her treasure hoard. But as the ages passed, Dulatrixica became too large to read her delicate tomes with her massive talons. And so Otay volunteered to read to her.

Got to see the Amazing Digital Circus finale in theater, and it was phenomenal! I really wanna gush about the characters and the psychology and stuff but I'll wait for the public release.

Teeeeechnically he's sexless. Kobolds choose their own gender identity, though it's kind of a holdover from a bygone era- I could get into the history and stuff but there's some backstory spoilers if I go there.

There's nothing more cool than being yourself❤️

The coolest duo, Dax and Peeb. Dax is giving a thumbs up "Happy Pride! It is very cool to be yourself!" while Peeb is looking straight at the viewer "bigots belong in a ditch."

It's 420. It's the perfect time for a transcendental experience. Mine is the realization that Speed Racer 2008 is the best movie of all time and that I am willing to die on this hill.

2/2 The world is rough right now, and we know who to blame. They need to be held accountable. And if you supported the them? Look, everyone makes mistakes. The worst thing you can do though is double down, commit to the wrong side of history. You don't owe them. Narcissists do not care about you.

Donkey @donkeycomic.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

1/2 I want Donkey and its associated spaces to be... I guess like, an overall fun place. But also, my comic is going to get political. It's going to have social commentary, real world parallels, psychology, sociology, etc etc. So let me be very clear now; I did not vote for the orange fuck in office

donkeycomic.com Another week, another page. Also, the website is pretty much in its final stages of development! All tabs are now working properly. Pretty much all we have left to do is keep on updating! Check it out if you get the chance, it would mean a lot to me!

Doing the @scottmccloud.bsky.social meme. Understanding Comics is genuinely one of my favorite resources, and helped me a ton when it came to designing my own comic. #comic #kobold

Beeg Jump There's a scene in my script I ended up cutting out that involved trying to make a point by jumping as far as he could. I removed it because I didn't want to oversaturate the story with redundancy, but the concept was still cute enough to give it a pic. #fantasy #donkey #kobold

I was doing the same, going page by page, comparing the old to new! While I love the originals, the new definitely has its strengths.

Another from the Otayverse, this time stylized after @tysonhesse.bsky.social 's Sonic the Hedgehog. Not sure I knew what I was doing, but I hope it came out alright! Since I drew the figure before even considering making a background, they feel a bit disjointed together, but hey! Maybe it's fine.

My indie cartoon series Stanley Crowe is a 100% traditionally animated project. Pencil on paper, ink & paint on cells, with mixed-media backgrounds. If you like hand crafted #Animation, spooky clowns & sad, crying queers please consider supporting me 🎃🤡🖤 #IndieAnimation #TransArtist #QueerArt

A hand painted cell of Stanley Crowe running away from home to flee the circus, ironically. The BG is pencilled and much bigger than the cell, I'll probably redo it later.

The inked cell of Stanley on the painting board and ready for coloring.

The inked cell of Stanley, all dry and sitting on a plain white background.

A blank cell sitting over the pencilled Stanley Crowe frame, at the very beginning of inking.

One of my favorite books on comics is the famous Understanding Comics by @scottmccloud.bsky.social . Genuinely one of the best resources for learning the art form in and out. Made this to join my cluster of stylized Otays, as it's one of the major inspirations for me as a comic artist.

Donkey @donkeycomic.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

Decided to expand upon my cluster of restylized drawings and give some of the individuals a proper splash page. So here's Otay in the style of @jeffsmithsbone.bsky.social 's Bone, one of the inspirations for my own comic for its comedic timing, the in-depth world building, and the deeper thematics.

Donkey @donkeycomic.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

I drew Otay in different art styles! A few of them are also major influences for me as a comic artist. Can you guess the inspiration for each Otay? #kobold #donkey
