When I first saw this I thought it was a hyper realistic painting and the splashes of red had some specific symbolism. Great photo.

These two are no longer with us and are greatly missed. Sandy and Sam were smart, loyal, stubborn and so much fun.

The original 60’s Outer Limits scared me so much that I couldn’t watch it, which meant I couldn’t watch McHale’s Navy which came on after it. Never could understand why it was scheduled that way. At least, that’s what I remember of it.

Recently it was on PBS, so I watched it again. My husband surprised me by settling in next to me because he’d never watched it from start to finish before . He gets the appeal now.

Loved listening to him. We would schedule day trips around the Vinyl Cafe so we could listen to the entire episode.

The drone chasing the single bobsleds down the track has me thinking of murder hornets chasing potential victims.

The front is longer than the back as they’re designed to be worn by the paralympians in wheelchairs.

There’s been a lot of posts about the Team Canada Olympic wear, specifically the colours. My 10 year old grandson thought the puffer vest was great so, on a whim I bought it. I know, over priced, etc. Then I found this pic of Amur maple leaves in my Alberta backyard. Not red and white but still 🇨🇦

A Volkswagen ID. Buzz Microbus pulled up beside me in the parking lot yesterday. It was the brightest thing out there. I asked the owner about it & although it cost $$$$ she said recharging it was much less than gas. It was adorable & looked a lot more fun than the garbage can on wheels.

That must have been some strap on. You’re obviously still traumatized so I apologize for my … sorry, had to stop and catch my breath. Good thing I was already in the bathroom.

I’m sorry for your pain but I laughed so hard I think I peed.

Needed to write my choices down. After one mayor, had to choose six councillors and five school trustees!

I read Jaws after the movie came out where I learned that not all movie adaptations should be faithful to the book. Mrs. Brody had an affair with Matt Hooper. Their coupling was so badly written I howled with laughter. I guess for the 70s it was titillating.

Big dog attitude in a smaller dog body. Corgis are awesome dogs!

Can’t believe the amount of water in this spiderweb on my deck this morning after last night’s heavy rain. #nature #spiderwebs #stalbert #yeg

I had to stop at the grocery store late this afternoon. Behind me was a woman with 2 school aged children. The older, a boy about 10, said hi to me, so I said hi back. We had a brief chat about summer being half over then he helped put my groceries in the bags. The kids are alright.

Yes, Niagara Falls is a little cringe with its souvenir shops and the street of attractions reminds me of a midway on steroids but the falls themselves are impressive. Check this off my bucket list.

My Welsh uncle died from his injuries after being hit by runaway carts in a coal mine. The website I found with that information www.welshcoalmines.co.uk had an extensive memorial list of miners and how they died, from the 1830s to 1999. No wonder my father refused to join the profession.

My mother was the first woman manager of a KFC outlet in Canada in the early 1960s. When the company held its yearly manager’s meeting he always greeted her by name & complimented her efforts. I met him in 1968 (I think?) when he visited Edmonton. I remember his kindness more than anything.
