as someone writing Go for 12 years, abstractions is used very rarely in Go so that kind of drive my mindset elsewhere as well. But usually I only abstract something if there's 2 implementations or I really need to test something I don't want to use the real implementation for.

You know what's really fun? Removing the LLM noise from a codebase you truly care about. This is one of the most energizing and fun programming activity I had in months. I'm building a SaaS I want to maintained and grow for the next ddecades, this "tool" will not help me reach my goals

I kind of hit a first plateau with the SaaS. We took a small 1 week vacation in august and things never restarted after like it was prior. It's always rough for me these periods and I usually go all over the places instead of trying to keep calm, it's always easy to say / advice, but hard to do

Of course titles means nothing. I've had 2 titles in my career, programmer and entrepreneur. At least entrepreneur still means something these days, programmer, well not so much unfortunately.

gmail is not fun to use with a screen reader. I tried Thunderbird after almost 20 years using a web interface for email. Let's just say, I'm cleaning a lot of crap that I was just leaving there in the web app, not sure why, but it's unsub time. It feel like I'm more engage with my inbox now.

thanks, we will see, I prefer to stay conservative a little for now. The hardest thing about self-funding its company is keep pushing even when it takes so much time to go to next level, and without funding this is pretty risky ;), it's also a bit where the fun is.

Even companies having the copy/pasted paragraph "We give equality chances ... " - Yeah, I've had discrimination since I started in 2001, and I was not even using a screen reader back then. I'm not complaining but maybe denouncing a little. Just give it a fair chance for real if you can.

One of the few advice that everyone is regurgitating for almost 20y in SaaS world that I believe in is use the boring stuff to build and don't jump in the unknown. Especially true with LLM these days. I love Gleam, a lot. But Go just allowed me to finally build a SaaS smbs want to pay for.

one thing I like about the ? in syntax like Rust is that my screen reader ask a question about a line, looking at Lisette language at the moment: let data = io.ReadAll(file)? Which naturally increase the intonation, really cool on top of not having if err != nil { return x, err }

intriguing how it ~follows similar avg salaries for languages you claim cost more LLM token. I've seem some marketing people built there apsp with Ruby before the arrival of LLMs. JS is also another one most people can figure out fairly quickly. Not surprised LLM fight less w/ dynamic languages

You're not seriously comparing LLM code with linters right? To be frank we should not trust most of the code, no matter who wrote it. You have to admit that a linter is less likely to introduce logic bugs in a system than code generated by an LLM.
