I currently have no strong feelings about Andy Burnham. I don’t know a ton about him. But I do think his potential grasp for PM should be contested, if only so that there is a choice. Wouldn’t it be funny if Corbyn and Millibamd threw their names in the hat too tho

Rails is a web framework that makes it really easy to create a web app, it’s got sensible defaults, powerful tooling to make everything easy. Database, APIs, emails, ruby gems for plugins. It was and still is widely used for new web products. Ruby is just a human friendly coding language.

That eventually leads me to VueJS as reusing components in js just feels cleaner than html/stimulus. And I’ve got 114 tables in various states of on-page tablesort, server side stimulus sort, and Vue components.

When I’m building UI I try and start with raw html, but when building tables you inevitably need sorting and pagination. I’ve got a decent StimulusJS setup but I feel the resistance in having to go and add to every table I have.

My naming pattern for these is general Model::SyncModel.call, which isn't ideal but its explicit in class naming as its SRP

I've got a bunch of sync services that have a call interface, which under the hood uses update_all which in turn spawn a bunch of update_one based on some given criteria. Sometimes I want all to generate the list, sometimes I'll pass in a different list, but for those call just standardises names

Think I’ve finally got the fix for a redis instance maxxing and just flushing all its entries. Web host pings / every minute or so to keep processes alive (and health checks) and each time, new session, new cache entry. Let’s see what the charts are like tomorrow.
