When was the last time we had a military parade??

Ian Jones @dolomite78.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

I would like to think with trump giving tax breaks to billionaires and making the middle class and the working poor pay for this the maga crowd would begin to cry foul. My hope is the election in the midterms will stop project 2025 in its tracks.

I’m looking forward to the summer. I am pretty apprehensive with everything this current administration is doing and undermining our constitution and threatening our allies. All that to say fuck trump. To be joyful in a hateful world is rebellion.

Never forget that this unelected piece of garbage is in charge of the federal government and giving himself massive tax breaks. He also is trying to get this image of his sieg heil off the internet. Nazi punks fuck off!!!

Taking a break before I dive back in… really hope this small business survives the trump recession.

Great idea Leli. Put me on the list. I would have sent this in a message but I don’t know how to send messages on bluesky yet. Haha

Thanks Jay. As an American I am really disgusted that a convicted felon is running this country. It’s seems like he is hell bent on destroying this country

This Friday remember to not buy anything. Let’s send a cold chill down these billionaires spines.

I’m sending emails and will probably do that weekly.

I really hate that the leadership in this country is actively making policy that is going to gut the middle class. Any ideas to fight these nazi turds? I am in the action phase of my response

Fascists want people divided, uninformed, angry and afraid. Don’t let them win. Get a library card. Grab some encyclopedias. Follow independent journalists. Take online courses. Elevate voices different than your own. Make a commitment to being as informed, inclusive, kind and loving as possible.

I am really bad at paperwork and computer related activities. When I have things like this to do I end up cleaning like crazy. What are some things that you do that help develop good habits regarding procrastination and computer work?

I’m with it. I am thinking that trump is going to tank the economy anyhoo and when that happens his base will crumble

I have never called my representatives but I will follow your lead. I am talking with people in my community and we will begin to organize and do something

What can we do fight project 2025 from being implemented? How do we minimize the damage these billionaires are going to cause?

Thanks Margaret. I too am struggling with what is happening and need to do something.

We kicked off the year at Crossdraft Gallery with the exhibition “We’re All Friends Here” by @dolomite78.bsky.social and featuring work made by Ian and a selection of folks he’s befriended in the PNW. It was lovely, and you can read all about it here: www.crossdraftgallery.com/exhibitions/...

Had a conversation with some other friends as well and indeed there are applications that are helpful. I suppose just like everything else what is the threshold when it hurts more than helps? Small example (not Ai) autocorrect has diminished my ability to spell🌚

I made this hook in a blacksmith workshop I took at the gorge maker space. It was really fun to push metal around with a hammer. In some ways it felt like clay. 10/10 would recommend taking a class with Jared.

So when you go to google is there a chatgp option or something? I find it all very confusing.

Ian Jones @dolomite78.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

I guess the accessibility of websites now are made possible by AI? I was looking at a moped and loved how the caption was written i went to look at it and mentioned that to the guy…and he was like chatgp. I was like u son a bitch you made me fall in love with a robot. Haha

Ian Jones @dolomite78.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Can someone explain to me what the everyday person uses AI for? I have never used it and have no interest in any of it. Why is it being researched and used?

Back on the Sunday ritual of cross country skiing. Amidst all the bad news in the world I have always found comfort in the nature world. It reminds me that I am small and my time is finite. I must make the best of it.
