I constantly ask myself why was I gifted to people who were inadequate to parent me? Why wasn’t I gifted to black parents who were well educated and able to understand my emotional intellect? Only reason I can think of is that I must’ve been a menace in past life and this is payback 😩!

I wasn’t a natural people pleaser as a kid. I was very direct as a kid, but being an assertive child was seen as disrespectful, and asking questions was seen as being a smart mouth. Being in a community where at the time emotional intelligence was severely lacking, is where my downfall began.
