almost forgot to post this... realistically, sonic adventure is on the cusp of being on this. if it was top 10, sonic would be there!

my biggest issue is actually that playing it with joycons is dogshit. those shoulder buttons are garbo for how much use they get in fromsoft games. they can be customized but I'm not throwing out ~18 years of muscle memory. I really need a controller for switch 2

duskbloods first impressions are eh. I've always hated pvp so not sure how much I'll care for this one. also too tired to put much thought into it, the times for the test are teeeerrible for my schedule

I experienced this first hand recently... I was hunting for wizardry games in japan last fall but they were all a lot more than I was expecting 😭

this post got me to grab it without even realizing you're the dev of a game I've been interested in, so I grabbed that too. I'm having a lot of fun with the book so far, thank you!

first time I used one I was so scared by the vibration I just kept charging into a wall in spyro 1 over and over, too paralyzed by fear to let go of the square button

abyss is very interesting and unique and weird but I still think the original is best. gotta be one of the best games of that era

I don't have room or probably the extra funds for one but I have a huge weak spot for mahjong fight girl and bombergirl... also we have the same name

kat dollheart @dollheart.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

kat dollheart @dollheart.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

ah but I speak of mahjong fight girl, the arcade game by konami where I, me, am playable. still, they're uh... in japan... don't think I'll be going back until next year

kat dollheart @dollheart.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

would you play mahjong fight girl with me at an arcade even if my mahjong skill is undeniably entry level…

which is to say I think it was just a lucky coincidence miura was able recommend a unique artist that he liked that just happened to be capable of the sounds we all now associate with the project. that’s more on hirasawa already having that sound tho, and refining it to berserk, at least afaik

kat dollheart @dollheart.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

I believe the story goes miura was already a fan of hirasawa’s music which always had that particular sound, so he recommended him, but miura wasn’t otherwise involved with the production outside of final words because it was very rare for any mangaka to be involved with anime adaptations back then
