The build itself is finished for the PG Mk-2 and it's a big boy. It has a little difficulty holding poses and I don't have a stand for it yet, but I love it. can't wait to get it panel lined + decaled up, then matte top coated. it's going to look sick! #gunpla

been a minute since I've posted new dishes. I was very excited to learn a new tomato and egg recipe and this didn't disappoint. matsutake are tasty but not sure they're worth the $40/pound it cost at hmart. I've never seen them in stock before though so I had to try.

the old fire soup recipe (pork and daikon soup) from Made With Lau is so nostalgic for me. they made it for staff meal sometimes at the Chinese restaurant I worked at in high school/college. they often used winter melon instead of daikon. plus that zucchini pasta is so flavorful it was surprising.

Next up was a two for one recipe night making saucy stir fry from Chinese Cooking Demystified. one is fairly standard Cantonese seasoning and the other is a mala Sichuan base. I thickened the Sichuan version a bit over and the Cantonese a bit under but they were both very tasty and easy.

Sat down last night to build #gunpla again after a while and made solid progress. this PG build is lovely so far and most of the visible armor is undergated. this was actually my first time wiring LEDs into a kit but it was easy enough.

I recently acquired The Wok by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt and randomly selected a recipe to try first, which ended up being kung pao shrimp (gong bao ji ding). then I went looking for something to use the extra flank steak and peppers we had on hand, so pepper steak!

there are more undergated parts than I expected for #gunpla with screws from 2001 (the blue parts mostly), but I love how huge and part separated the accessories are so far. the shield is very cool with a spring controlled mechanism to fully retract the halves.

I think next run I'll up the difficulty for Doobyton 2.0, but repeat this map. my instinct is to hoard resources, so I also want to try one of the limited resource starting zones to force myself to play adaptation/tradition with the exploration/colonization ambition instead.

finished story mode in frostpunk 2 tonight and realized I massively overbuilt, collected, farmed, upgrade than I needed just to beat the game on the default difficulty lol. decided to start a city in utopia builder and see how this goes. the city is called Doobyton! seems like a good start.
