![DIOMEDES: RETURN TO MYCENAE
Forthcoming, by Gregory Michael Nixon
Book 3 of the Diomedeia trilogy.
I love this AI image of Diomedes in the last, most productive stage of his life. From ruthless warrior and destroyer of cities, he returns to the ruins of Mycenae and then migrates to Apulia in southern Italy, where he founds and judiciously administers many cities, and refuses to engage in unnecessary wars. He recognizes the gods as transpersonal aspects of the soul and, thus, as guides through life. When he dies, he is himself worshipped as a god in Apulia, throughout the Adriatic Sea, and in Illyria. [These last two are true, historical facts, & the rest are mythologically true facts.🤓]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:fzbqgrfe6xh62ztultz257ra/bafkreihxpj3kvxqirttbq7jtogjl2s3dc66uxwvmpd5h6p5ldg4aqanygy)
