I'm glad you're saying this - it's such a dumb argument to have to combat. No-one frets over whether Yugoslavia had a right to exist. Plus, the rights of a people to self-determination and self-government doesn't allow them to ignore the rights of others, even when enacting those rights

Just stop. You've failed to stay on a single topic, flailing to add other claims, people & dross when you are losing an argument, & now you resort to low insults You hold a cowardly & pathetic steadfast deference to fascism that puts you in league with your fellow countrymen, Villaplane & Pétain

Israel doesn't get to pretend they live in the past. They cannot present themselves as a modern country while advocating the colonial expansionism of the 1800s and using the limitations of warfare from almost a century ago as justification for their bloodthirstiness.

A Lancaster couldn't be accurate with 'dumb' bombs, deep within enemy territory dodging flak. Excess damage was unavoidable The IDF can, did and do use accurate ordnance. Ground forces used bulldozers and hand set explosives to destroy their target. Everything they destroy is intentional

Israel are explicitly trying to genocide the "Arabs" of Gaza in order introduce Jewish settlers That they aren't able to achieve other goals doesn't lessen that If you believe that 20% aren't viewed as a threat look at Israeli news about birthrates: all focus on gaps in the Arab vs Jewish birthrate

And you are okay with war crimes? Is the only reason you think the IDF's war crimes aren't genocidal is that they haven't said their aim is to kill or remove all Palestinian people? The reason the IDF don't say that they're committing genocide is because they don't think of Palestinians as people.

The children of Dresden were not the target of the bombs, the city's railways & industry were. The destruction was due to the technology of the time resulting in aerial tactics like saturation bombing. Now, the IDF can be accurate & they are. They destroy their targets, including Gazan children

NGO Monitor is a right-wing organization based in Jerusalem that reports on international NGO activity from a pro-Israel perspective. NGO Monitor was founded in 2001 by Gerald M...
Continued in WikipediaScreenshot of Wikipedia page for NGO Monitor:

Reception

Political research conducted at Lund University in 2019 rated NGO Monitor poorly for its "counter-democratic activities" and found that the organization was "heavily involved in [the] denunciation" of human rights NGOs by depicting them as "unprofessional and biased".[47] In all of NGO Monitor's reports, it was found to criticize NGOs that "had a perspective of promoting Palestinian human rights and/or taking a critical stance toward Israeli Government policies vis-à-vis Palestinians". The research also found that NGO Monitor appeared to "be promoting pro-Israel views regarding the conflict in a partisan way" and that, organizationally, NGO Monitor "might be less independent" and "tied to strong political interests and actors".[47]

In 2005, Leonard Fein wrote in The Forward that NGO Monitor is "an organization that believes that the best way to defend Israel is to condemn anyone who criticizes it".[48]Screenshot of Wikipedia page for NGO Monitor (continued from previous):

Yehudit Karp, a member of the International Council of the New Israel Fund and a former deputy attorney general of Israel, said that NGO Monitor has released information "it knew to be wrong, along with some manipulative interpretation".[49]

The New Israel Fund said in May 2011 that NGO Monitor "knowingly published false information in its newsletter" about the NIF funding of Coalition of Women for Peace (CWP). NIF said that NGO Monitor's director was given the correct information verbally in advance.[50] NGO Monitor responded by asserting that its report was based on NIF grant information.[51] NIF rejoined that its public records lag the end of the reporting year by several months, but reiterated that updated information was given to NGO Monitor verbally. NIF also said that it asked CWP to remove mention of NIF's name from the CWP website.[52]

Yoaz Hendel, a former adviser to Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu who is now a columnist at Yediot Aharonot, called NGO Monitor a "serious voice in the field".[53]Screenshot of Wikipedia page for NGO Monitor (continued from previous):

Kathleen Peratis, a member of the board of Human Rights Watch, called into question the research methodology underlying an op-ed by Steinberg for not saying specifically where or when HRW statements have been unverifiable.[56] In 2006, she criticized NGO Monitor for accusations against HRW and its "executive director, whose father fled Nazi Germany". Peratis took issue with an op-ed by Steinberg titled "Ken Roth's Blood Libel",[57] and argues those like NGO Monitor "who want selective exemption of Israel from the rules of war" may not "have faced the implications of getting what they wish for".[56]

In 2009, David Newman criticized NGO Monitor for concentrating "almost entirely with a critique of peace-related NGOs and especially those which focus on human rights, as though there were no other NGOs to examine". He said that NGO Monitor, which he called a right-wing organization, had consistently refused requests to investigate the activities and funding of right-wing NGOs, many of which, Newman said, were facilitating illegal activity in the West Bank.[58]

Yes the gangs (some linked to ISIS) are armed by Israel, protected by the IDF & act with impunity. Are you living in November 2023? Hamas do not fully control Gaza. ecfr.eu/special/mapp... And "sacrifice" - Hamas aren't killing these children. The IDF are making a choice to do that. Why?

You still haven't found the proof! If it's so easy why can't you do it? There is literally no logic or contributing evidence that explains or justifies your conclusions. Find proof. Not of Hamas tunnels, but of Hamas bases under schools and hospitals.

Mosul 2017. The Iraqi army did it with conscripts, AKs and equipment dating back to the Soviets. The IDF has some of the most advanced military technology in the world, but they rigged up land mines to flatten Gaza. The Iraqi army did not want to kill civilians. It sure seems like the IDF want to.

I know why Gaza was attacked. Add to the reasoning that Mileikowsky wouldn't make a deal for the hostages as that would end his strongman image. Were the dead children buried under rubble running Gaza? Why are Israel killing children? Is the IDF using technology from the 1940s?
110
horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
No it isn't. Civilians are not legitimate targets during war, nor is denying healthcare www.ohchr.org/en/instrumen... Iraqi conscripts did not target civilians during their war against ISIL, while fighting irregular forces. Israel is not making war. Why are Israel killing civilians and children?

I say that because you have not been able to answer one simple question: Why are the IDF killing children? Until you say otherwise I assume you think "Hamas runs Gaza therefore all Gazans are Hamas". It's therefore sad that you see Israeli settlers as disconnected from politics in Israel proper.

The IDF are killing the civilians in Gaza, including elderly people, pregnant women and children. Why are the IDF killing them? Why is that acceptable to you?

That's a video of a hole in the ground, in 2025, from a reporter attached to an IDF unit. The IDF are in the shot telling the reporter that it is a Hamas tunnel. It has never been verified as anything more than a hole in the ground. If it's so easy to find proof, go fetch.

horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
No mention of Hamas. These could just as easily be the gangs that Israel has been arming in Gaza in order to increase instability in Gaza and oppose Hamas. You still haven't answered the question, this is whataboutism and a "gish gallop". Why are Gazan children being murdered?
100
horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
The 1 difference is you see Israelis as distinct from their politics. The Israeli right-wing are in power & support settlers politically & with IDF protection. They are elected repeatedly. You see Palestinian people as walking lockstep with their politicians. They haven't had elections since 2006.

Also, find me reporting of Hamas military infrastructure under a hospital or a school that didn't get immediately debunked. Israeli propaganda pointed at a calendar in Arabic as evidence of Hamas activity.

horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Just say you either don't know or can't answer instead of using whataboutism. Hamas are bad because don't want peace, unfortunately for your argument neither do the Israeli right that has been in power for almost 30 years. I understand why people are drawn to both. Why are the IDF killing children?
100
horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
So why are all those pregnant women, children and disabled people being killed then? Why were the universities, hospitals and schools destroyed? Could I have something to do with the repeated dehumanisation of them that we hear from the far-right Israeli government?
110
horse d'voeurce @dogsplayingcards.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
They're Arabs and they're not Jewish. The IDF destroying heritage sites (museums) and damaging the capacity to grow the population (destroying healthcare provisions and restrictions on food delivery) paired with Israeli govt official statements indicate these are intended as genocidal acts.
