America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

The GOP budget bill could gut the FTC by moving its antitrust authority to the DOJ, limiting the government's ability to bring unfair competition cases.  It would also let Pam Bondi, an ex-Amazon lobbyist, call the shots on antitrust.  Big Business must be thrilled.

Amazon planned to display cost of Trump's tariffs. Trump complained — Amazon backtracked. This of course comes after Bezos donated to Trump's inauguration and Amazon bought a Melania documentary. And remember that Amazon is being sued by FTC for antitrust violations. Hello?

Last night’s article in the Washington Post about D.C. police responding to a 911 call by illegally letting DOGE onto private property is unlike any news story I have ever read. Every single person should read this article and think about where our society is going.

43% of families with a single mom and kids under age 6 lived in poverty in 2023. That's an insanely high percentage. Tax cuts for billionaires and corporations aren't going to help single moms afford child care and groceries. They're just going to make our economy more unfair.

A Kroger executive admitted in court that they had gouged prices. Instead of lowering prices, they just announced a $7.5 BILLION stock buyback spree. Trump's 15% corporate tax rate would give Big Grocery a $1.7 BILLION yearly tax cut. Why isn't anyone talking about this?

According to the CBO, extending Trump's tax cuts for the rich would shrink the economy over the long run. Extending the cuts would also increase the deficit by $4.6 trillion and be used by Republicans as an excuse to gut programs millions rely on. It's reverse Robin Hood.

Those tax cuts Trump and Republicans are planning? They would add $4.6 TRILLION to the deficit. The last time they did this, it cost $2 TRILLION, the rich and corporations made record profits, and it never trickled down to workers. We literally can't afford to do this again.
