I’d like to understand it from them, to be honest. … but given they contacted other businesses to discuss use of ‘their’ trademark… it does seem to someone who is casually looking that they wanted to attempt to charge other businesses a fee for something that they’d always been able to refer to…

This was such an awesome experience, 24 hours sealed in a drysuit and hood and then locked in isolation box. Box was only opened once for me to be forced to fed 2 litres of electrolytes.

I understand the sentiment, but seriously the flaws are unacceptable for this kind of app, and their attitudes around it is seriously concerning and disappointing. It’s not something that can be offset by any past good intentions; It’s like a dr trying to treat a patient with thoughts and prayers.

Their recent update citing the number of devs they have is insulting; some of these flaws are not hard to fix and if you really need more dev support - FUCKING HIRE IT. I get more than enough ads in my inbox and know how much they charge to add events to the calendar… they can afford it.

This puts people’s jobs, livelihoods, family life, and even freedom and lives at risk depending on where each user might happen to live and what their countries tolerance of homosexuality/gender identity is. It is simply not acceptable to have these flaws in this kind of app.

Given the nature of the app, it’s paramount that users feel safe and comfortable to interact and use it. The (not even recent) revelations about how user data including images are stored, and how easy it is for a bad actor or hostile government to access location information are astonishing (2/…)
