Doing some more Liza doodles w/ @ependa.bsky.social. This time using fur patterning similar to Phoebe's. The cat nose is deliberate but I'm not sure I'll keep it. I want to develop her face in this form a little more, too, but that's for another day.

Damn this has come A Ways. Some proof of life showing how far this thing has come. Yet another learning experience that I've been chipping at as quickly as I'm able without burning out. I've had a lot of time to think about what it is and how it relates to the story, tho, so that's been a plus.

A variety of communications equipment - primarily ham/short wave radio equipment - embedded into carefully trimmed trees and hedgerows. Next to an old stereo is a pillow, a cat basket, and an ash tray for cigarettes. Besides that, a lion statue, its head replaced with more radio equipment, its lower body replaced with a fishtail. There are wires dangling everywhere.

I have diagnosed a criminal lack of foxes in my roster lately, and since I've gotten the itch to give Liza a bit more attention again, I decided, you know? What better opportunity than right now to fix that. Collab w/ @ependa.bsky.social on the near-human look, the more vulpine look is one of mine.

See the funny thing about this is that my dad is from Upstate NY, my mom was born in Ohio but moved to California for some time in her teens/twenties, and we've lived in WI for most of my life. And you can actually see that in the heatmap. Interesting indeed. mydialect.us/quiz-standar...

So anyway it's still #werewolfwednesday This particular wolf form design has always been solidly mine and I rather like how it looks so we're starting the and-now-it's-OC-time journey w/ it. Tweaked colors. We'll see if the hairstyle stays or goes. I'm personally inclined to say it stays.

The priest's message is flawed. The text doesn't have to go out of its way to say that because we, most queer ex-Christian readers, understand this talk innately. But his heart is in the right place and this scene still makes me cry all the same. Because I could've used a flawed message like this.

The priest here says 'I think being gay isn't the way god intended.' Is this the author's POV or is it the POV of the character? It's the character; if you know Lance Rund at all you know in his house that gayness is next to godliness. Should the 2026 version have a clarifying footnote?

"the story was solved by prayer" if I posted this page without context as an example of how ASB was actually a rag promoting Catholicism I'd get a lot of people not looking into it who would 100% believe it based on this page and some other choice cherrypicking.
