Spent more time with Wolverine, as we are still baffled by the state it released in. Weirdly, it seems like it plays slightly better on a base PS5 as compared to the Pro. The disc build is still full of flaws, but they get triggered a bit less on the weaker machine. Very strange!

Final update RE Mario Galaxy: Looks like the people reporting it working on Switch 2 all still had older firmware from a time before the card was blocked from playing unpatched. Under those conditions even the first print works. Our fuck-up. We should have spotted that. Sorry! :/
