Seeing the Doctor Who Christmas special get cancelled has been so conflicting emotionally. I think it was probably going to be a bit of a shit show, but I also just wanted some DW to look forward to. The indefinite nature of this 'break' doesn't feel as positive as the press release makes out

I've seen maybe 3 positive posts on twitter... all of which had the vibe of somebody who thought they were better than everyone else (and everybody else was just too stupid to know the characters like they do). After that, I stopped trying to understand because of the attitudes of those people

Fwiw, I'd say the majority aren't. Reddit, Twitter, Tumblr, even the Discord, are all exploding with anger at how it's ended- and imo rightly so. BSky has generally been the most positive platform I've been on today and even here it's very mixed. They really did fuck it up bad
