Correction: The Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA) was incorrectly abbreviated as LIDFA. It is described as a public body that uses Tax Increment Financing to fund public infrastructure improvements, prevent unemployment, and stimulate economic growth in industrial and technology sectors.

They help fund significant projects and ongoing economic programing to improve the quality of life and retain residents. Detroits DDA has made infrastructure improvements and things like holiday lighting program. "There is al ot you can fund with DDA TIF revenue"

Corridor Improvement Authority was made in 2005 as a mechanism to funding business districts not in Downtown. Specifically 8 mile Woodward Corridor Improvement Authority centered around the Meijer. The athourity reimburses the developer for qualified expenses.
