I have to say I’m very bitter this year about paying taxes for a do nothing Congress and a screw everything up President. Actually, isn’t the disgusting Congress, showing contempt, dishonesty and disrespect for their constituents that turns my stomach the most.

If fentanyl is a weapon of mass destruction and deserves declaring war against the manufacturers, since firearms kill at least as many people as the drug, can’t we consider them a weapon of mass destruction?of course, the drug users kill themselves, firearms are usually used to kill others. 🤔

This brings up the concerns that Trump administration wants to prevent any guardrails with the idea that we need to do that to beat China. There’s a point where human and societal concerns ought to outweigh geopolitical ones.

As a clinical psychologist I’ve been reflecting on the lawsuits against AI manufacturers with regard to their products providing instructions on how to commit suicide. A word I hear used is “guardrails” which I infer means setting limits on what AI WILL do as opposed to what it can do.
