I finally used my grandfathered sick time from before 2000 that kept carrying over. Yes, it's over 20 years of carrying over. I never get sick so of course it's related to organ failure.

being on a kidney transplant list from 5 hospitals in Texas is great aside from having to turn off call blocker. I've had my number for 20+ years and I get at least 20 calls a day from randoms about "the loan I requested" - which I never did.

Healthcare in America: so your insurance will cover kidney failure for 1 year of dialysis and after that you have to move to Medicare. I asked why. They said "to prove that you want to get off dialysis." I'm like "Do people enjoy living that life with those restrictions?"

Omg. I love the internet! Someone in my vegan group posted this! Boiled the tofu skin in a chik’n broth with liquid smoke. Used a chopstick to wrap the strands into a nugget form then basted them with oil and a little bbq sauce then popped them into the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes. #vegan 🌱

Gonna have an exploratory surgery on my heart to make sure I can take a second arm surgery for dialysis. They say it could be dangerous b/c they use a dye kidneys may not handle. If not then they have to put a chest port in for dialysis and not my arm. Probably gonna do that in the next 2 weeks.

Being on a few kidney transplant lists means you have to take your phone off of its previous block unknown callers. Now I get literally 7 to 12 calls AN HOUR of spam.
