Finally got all of the character designs for our dnd Witchlight campaign drawn out, so I threw them together and scaled them to their canon heights(ish) Guess which one didn't come from the circus

docbe original art, depicting a half-orc in a relatively plain shirt and tie, and a satyr, harengon, and fairy all in colorful, clown/jester-like outfits

Yknow I realized I never posted our Ghotitank icons on bsky, so here’s all the other fish (some ppl don’t realize the icon is an illustration and not a photo—all of these were digitally painted!)

More sketchbook stuff—meet Hamelyn, the pied-piper-of-rats and distractingly handsome satyr that met our party in a clearing

A satyr sitting on a rock coddling some rats and looking up at someone offscreen. Docbe Original art

Immediately wanted to do linework with the paper texture screen, so I grabbed a recent Kanin sketch I liked and threw lines on it, then played around w screentones in Clip I’m actually so relieved, this feels SO much nicer to do precision 😭

052

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

I haven't been sharing everything because I'm still having a high proportion of awkward sketches, but at risk of just sitting on a bunch of stuff and never sharing again, here's some partially-successful attempts at prospective from today ft. Kanin and his shady card tricks

Planning, plotting, scheming even…(if Im making shop designs, I want some non-denominational magical girl stuff)

One of the unfortunate side effects of having useful cantrips is that you become the party’s laundry depot

132

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

He is also fine with other cats (nervous around dogs)! If you’re patient and want a sweet old guy, please send me a DM and we can talk details :)

Mores was very scared when he first came to us, and it’s likely he’ll need time to hide and acclimate—but once he warmed up, he wanted endless pets. He’s definitely a good cat if you are looking for a companion who will sleep next to your pillow every night

121

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

📣 Looking for folks in the Chicagoland area who would like to adopt a senior cat! 📣 We’ve been fostering Mores for a few months and believe he’s ready for his forever home! He’s a skittish but v sweet orange boy—he has a lot of love to give 🧵 and DM for details! #cats #chicago #adoptdontshop

Hacking up a lung lately but here are some dnd sketches ft Greg getting bloody (barbarian shit) and Kanin getting influenced by a void circlet to eat eyeballs (wizard shit) #dnd #oc

My dad sent me a photo of a button I made back in like 2017, and I still think it’s a lil fun haha Maybe I redo it real quick and have it available when I get a store up and running

I posted some of the HS but here’s a a Ponyo and some bnha sketches I still like

I’ve done it kids, I’ve reached “reposted screenshot with way more notes on the stolen instagram version” status, I feel like this is some sort of online milestone

I haven’t had color pencils around for a long time, but the sketch kit thing I got recently came with colored graphite…and I’m so shocked I haven’t thought to use them sooner for pencil sketches, esp bc I prefer colored roughs digitally Anyway, Kanin with his cloak and lilypad cape combo

Tried and botched anything original lately so sketched Desscaras from Ichi the Witch

I’m moody lately so distracting by sorting thru old art, have some landscapes/environments from the Past

083

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

REPOST bc I accidentally uploaded the same pic even tho I did make some changes, so let’s try this again: I decided to vibe with the Loud colors, SO introducing Kanin Shashak: conjurer wizard, former Witchlight carnie, and general nuisance. He's my char in our party, and I love playing him :>

053

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Since it’s been a satyr kick lately

Trying to build sketchbook habit!! Daily/every other day!! Day 1 ft my succulent planter (which was more ambitious than I expected)

041

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Ok opinion/help time—I’m trying to nail down this guys color scheme, but…there’s a lot going on. He’s based on harlequin rabbits who have orange+black fur, which makes the clothing kinda tricky…I’m going for contrasting here (without blowing ur eyeballs out) but thoughts if you have any?

033

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Hadn’t posted this sketch on this platform so here we go

1267

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

Sketchin our party’s satyr bard. He uses Mantle of Inspiration to don a cheetah-print speedo, so that’s been fun

033

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 14/01/2025

Going thru some old photos for refs to practice painting, and I've always loved taking disposable cameras when we go camping...there's something so nice about the quality from film. Here's some from Glacier Nat'l Park back in 2016

Spent the day reorganizing my space so it’s actually useable for art things, and it ain’t perfect but it feels ready to gooo

141

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 07/01/2025

If you see this, post ghost

121

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

His design is based on the harlequin rabbit breed—a mix of orange and black (yoinked the photo from the Wikipedia page)

010

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

This is the first drawing I ever did of him sometime early last year when I was still v burnt out and rusty—I feel a lot better about how his design is playing out now I have grown in my knowledge of furry architecture

(Slightly better) shitty phone photo 2025 #2: Kanin Shashak, my lil harengon conjuration wizard and ex-witchlight hand (circuscore) I think I’m close to having him where I want him design-wise \o/

Bad phone photo 2025 #1: our dnd party and trying to get our half-orc barbarian accountant’s face right

Aaand I'm gonna stop for now with a whole bunch of Hals from the Hal blog

092

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

I drew this one just to get familiar with csp when I switched over..it didn't do a ton of numbers possibly bc it's a weird crop, but I did enjoy the process

062

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

Whenever I look at this I think about how I should've desaturated that background bubble a little more but still a fun lil Terezi moment

0157

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

I did a lot of color palette challenges...rather than make each their own, I'm just gonna shove the ones I like best here, ok? Ok

062

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

I didn't draw Jane and John a lot, but I did remembering having fun whenever I did

031

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

Another classstuck--background is so-so but I still think it's cute so here ya go

043

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

This one was for an old AU @mtjester.bsky.social and I used to have called classstuck that was generally stupid as hell, but this one's kinda cool

052

docbe @docbe.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

Changed my mind, I'm gonna go in order from newest-to-oldest, and I'm actually kinda surprised at some of the older art? I actually still like some of this stuff still, go past me Anyway, have a Dolorosa
