If I deployed that to production without a code review, my database would be in outage and my API would have downtime. Agents write a few lines of code that run queries against the database in a loop on a hot path because they don't "see" and "understand" what they do.

I see among many of my friends that their productivity is zero or even negative with AI. I suspect that... If you vibecoded 10 or even 100 half-baked side projects and never shipped them to production, never found users, didn't polish them, and abandoned them, AI didn't make you more productive.

We are still too early for courses on coding with AI and established approaches to code review, including whether it should be done at all. It might take more than a year to understand what works best and what happens to software built by those who stopped reviewing code.

If all your work is to copy a support ticket or a task from your product manager to Codex and then deploy the result to production, someone will notice and remove you to iterate faster. It is a short-term intelligence arbitrage. It can’t last forever. Find ways to add value.
