I have news for you - that's how the touch distribution for *all* teams looks like. Attacking players get less touches than midfielders and defenders. Here's Chelsea. The highest attacking player is Neto in 8th place.

I took a look at Delap's shot map (the graphic is a work in progress). Solid circles are goals, stars are big chances, green - headed shot, pink - left footed shot, blue - right footed shot. My takeaway is that there's a LOT of really bad shooting decisions here and that will need fixing.
