Coincidentally this was just shared by an antiques dealer friend on Instagram.
A small statuette shaped like a caricature of a sexy woman, but it’s made from hot dogs.

yourself, but as a cartoon
The character Porky Pine from the comic strip Pogo. Porky is wearing his plaid hat and carrying both a guitar (or maybe ukulele) and small bouquet of wildflowers, on his way to woo Miss Hepizbah, the skunk. Even though he is optimistic about his chances and has romance on his mind, he is scowling, because that is just how his face is.

This is Rocky Road. He's a German Shorthaired Pointer mix (maybe with Border Collie?). If you're in New Mexico and looking for a hiking/running/playing companion, this is your guy. Good with dogs and learns super fast. More info here: new.shelterluv.com/embed/animal...

Do you like Labs? Big dogs? In New Mexico? You should go to Animal Humane in Abq and meet Fezzic, a mastiff/Lab mix. He's sweet and basically a super-sized yellow lab. 31" at the shoulder, head the size of a large pumpkin, ~140 lbs. Lots more pics here: animalhumanenm.org/adopt/adopta...
The hand of an average male next to Fezzic's head to show the scale of the big guy's massive gourd.Fezzic decided he wanted kisses instead of taking a nice picture to compare my average human gourd to his massive canine gourd.

If London Calling counts as one album, then that, the first Trio album (not the Da Da Da band), and Tinariwen’s Elwan. If London Calling counts as two albums, then swap in Under the Big Black Sun.
The cover of the Clash’s album London Calling. The cover of Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris’s first Trio album. The cover of Tinariwen’s Elwan album. The cover of X’s Under the Big Black Sun album.

I bought these two linocut prints from a local artist. They weren’t sold as a diptych, but they will be hung as one.
A linocut print of a cat staring out an open window, its thoughts unknown. A linocut print of a dropped carton of blueberries. The berries are spilled and scattered.

The movie poster for the film "Manos: The Hands of Fate" with the title altered to say "Manus: The Hands of Slop" and the description altered to say "A cult of weird, horrible people who have given up on creating their own work and demand to destroy the world instead!

Can hucksters convince their saps that machines have sad fee fees? Oooooo it’s so unsettling!! What if I make the data base cry?!

Pogo Possum and Albert Alligator bath toys from the early 70s. I had a meme playset before anyone knew the future.

Experiment combining two photos of the same person. (Ariana Grande Nov 2024 Vanity Fair) Feels like there's something there, though I'm not sure I’ve got it quite right yet … #collage #art #cutandpaste

My Dreams Have Always Been Tidy But I Still Can’t Tell You What They Mean
A collage made by cutting and weaving images together. The background is a photo of a solar nursery. The images woven through are an abstract cyanotype on kraft paper and a photo of a large palm tree. Interspersed are two strips of gold paper.

This Xmas tree wrapper was made for slapstick hijinks.
A photo of Christmas tree wrapping tool. It’s a short tube about 18" in diameter with netting on one end. You push the tree in trunk-first and it gets compressed and wrapped for the drive home.

On the wall at the dog shelter. #historysky
A chart at a pet shelter with the caption “Does the e-collar extend 3 inches past the nose?” (An e-collar is the cone put on a dog’s head after it’s had surgery.) Along with several photos of dogs, there is a photo of Queen Elizabeth the First wearing one of those big stiff collars, which hilariously is called a “ruff”.

Spotted this window sticker at a red light and … I guess it’s like moon landing denier stuff?
A window sticker on car. The sticker mimics the shape and colors of the classic NASA logo, but instead of “NASA”, it says “LIES”.

I decided to replace one of the chainrings and put a kickstand on one of my bikes. I put the cranks back on and something seems weird but I can’t put my finger on it …
A close-up photo of the bottom bracket and cranks of a bicycle. One of the crank arms has been installed wrong so that the pedals are on the same side of the crank axle, instead of opposite sides.

Today at the shelter I walked Blue. He is hoping for a career in civil engineering and has some ideas about trail construction.
