I think a wider brimmed style than you normally choose might balance your face better, in addition to providing more protection from the sun. How many hats do you have now? Not judging, curious.

Good job! Granny squares are the gateway to so many other items. Yarn looks gray on my screen. It all depends on the light and what color it is next to. People are always posting pictures that they say are different colors in real life. That's why it's hard to buy yarn online.

I like your color choices. I browse my stitch dictionaries and make squares of different patterns in cotton yarn. They can be used as dishcloths, but they are really just to see if I like the stitch. Mine are knit, but it should work for crochet, too.

We had a really nice second hand stereo - big thing in a cabinet, from the 60s, originally had a radio and a turntable. We added cassette and 8 track players, then the time came my brother gave me CDs for Christmas and I didn't have a CD player. So we added a CD player. Eventually it died. Sad day.

They'll really be confused by my selection of DVDs. Most were gifts that didn't quite hit the mark and are still in their cellophane. My husband's are bargin bin B grade movies he saw as a kid and got for the nostalgia. Unfortunately the cassettes and 8 tracks disintegrated.

The fabric at Michaels is all for quilting, none for garments. The yarn selection is narrow and really focused on the Big Twist selections. I tend to get yarn online and stick to brands I know. It sucks. I used to have 4 craft and fabric stores to choose from.

See if you can find a copy of Barbara G Walker's Mosaic Knitting that contains the magic mosaics. The magic ones have to be stitched in garter to work, but every other one I've tried in stockinette looked good.

Depends on why you want to use a different stitch. If it is bacause you don't like the way the fabric drapes, or if the sweater is actually smaller than you want, I'd redo.

It used to be an illegal dump on land the Virginia Department VDOT gave it to Hampton and is paying to restore it as much as possible to wetlands. It's a beautiful place.

I've lived in my neighborhood with some of these same neighbors for 37 years now. I raised a son here. I felt safe on our little tucked away cul-de-sac. Then some of my neighbors put up Trump signs and no one put up Harris signs. Now I feel surrounded by hate, no longer safe, always worrying.
