Medicaid is the backbone of disability support. Last Thursday, the OBBBA cut it for hundreds of thousands of lawfully present immigrants, many with disabilities from war and torture. Disability Law United calls on Congress to repeal Section 71109. #savemedicaid #immigrantrights #disabilityjustice
Disability Law United condemns Medicaid cuts: Section 71109 would strip Medicaid eligibility from certain lawfully present refugees, asylees, and survivors of human trafficking or domestic violence and urges states and Congress to protect coverage and repeal the provision.
