DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 19/12/2025Yeah, as long as we get a half decent primary, Kamala doesn't stand a chance of making it to the general. Here's hoping J.B. Pritzker is in the mix. 010
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 19/12/2025The book mentions this devil in passing, but I tried fleshing her out. The idea is, she can tuck her head and limbs in, mid-flight, and drop like a meteor. I really don't know how her legs are supposed to work though. Maybe she turns upside down and lands on her back? #cteaturedesign 000

DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Mildly disappointing but not even a little surprising. 010
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Whatever you do, just don't watch the trailer! It spoils so much. If you want to start with the movie, do yourself a big favor and go into as blind as possible. 110
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Palate cleanser is the perfect word for it. I wanted something light coming off of Project Hail Mary, and it's a great fit for that. 110
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 17/09/2025I just finished Project Hail Mary and was blown away. Weir's ability to balance hard science, a compelling narrative, and a lively narrative voice is uncanny. I can't wait for the movie - just don't watch the trailer. It spoils SO MUCH. #scifi #projecthailmary www.goodreads.com/book/show/54...goodreads.comProject Hail MaryA lone astronaut. An impossible mission. An ally he nev… 000
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 17/09/2025I just started - it's a blast so far. A lot of DnD-adjacent scripted media (like Vox Machina) is hit or miss for me, so I wasn't sure if LitRPG would be my jam. But Carl hits such a sweet spot. I love how much the MC is at war with the game mechanics and the ridiculousness of the premise. 110
Reposted by DL Bergerthedigiknow @thedigiknow.bsky.social · 07/09/2025The Digimon Tamers Ending Was TRAGIC. Many of you liked my retrospective on the ADVENTURE finale, so let's talk TAMERS. The way the Digimon were ripped from our heroes' arms. The burden of adulthood and the powerlessness of childhood. Video on YouTube now! 2154
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 17/09/2025I largely prefer Tamers to Adventure, but that ending is so insanely abrupt. I would have loved if they gave them more time to process the gut punch. At least Henry has his moment with dad, and Takato gets the epilogue. But Rika gets so very little. 000
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 27/08/2025Also the bread isn't free (unless you can run really fast) 000
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 09/07/2025In the real world, most people in their 20s are still struggling to find direction and meaning. They're full of doubt and anxiety, and they struggle to maintain relationships. Does that sound like a good time to rip their support systems away? I say hell no. 000
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 09/07/2025And if Digimon disappear because their humans are fully actualized, that suggests that you should have your hierarchy of needs figured out by the time you hit adulthood. Any way you slice it, it's sour. 100
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 09/07/2025If Digimon disappear because their partners no longer have the "unlimited potential of childhood," then that paints a sour picture of adulthood: you just pick a career and grind until you die. As if reinventing yourself of changing jobs isn't part of the equation. 100
DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 09/07/2025So #digimon Last Evolution Kizuna bugs me a for a lot of reasons. If Digimon disappear because their grown-up partners no longer have a place for them in their lives, that's just straight up neglect. It makes me want to root for them less. youtu.be/EbQycBhsllY?...youtu.beWhy Digimon: Last Evolution Kizuna MATTERS - Nostalgia Done RightYouTube video by account 100

DL Berger @dlberger.bsky.social · 04/07/2025Why did I want to write a hard-R "Digimon for grown-ups"? - Because it's a huge piece of Millennial nostalgia that a lot of us forgot about - Because a lot Millennials still don't feel grown up, and I want to talk about that - Because fighting monsters with monsters is just plain fun 000
