Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 03/03/2025I love a good Old Fashioned. In my novel, drink mixing runs parallel to sacred rituals. Both are crucial to group bonding, and both have a tendency of changing the tone of a scene. #writing #spooky #novel #alcohol 030
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 24/02/2025This flu sucks, but I'm finally feeling well enough to get writing again! Got lots of notes down in bed, of course. My goal is to wrap up this TSwift/Chappell fanfic this week! Here's an AI image of Pandora, one of my original characters. Diamond claws = best claws. #writing #Swiftie #fanfic 010

Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 06/02/2025This Swiftie/Chappell fanfic is turning out to be quite the project. Closing in on 12,000 words! I've decided the "final boss" is gonna be a massive Steam/Cyberpunk snake a-la Reputation era. Image is AI generated. #Swiftie #Writing #Steampunk #fanfic 021
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 28/01/2025Working on another Taylor fanfic: Steampunk/Fantasy story in the mystical Swiftwood. High Priestess Taylor watches from the Sanctum Evermorium. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 23/01/2025So I'm writing a Cyberpunk alien invasion/resistance Taylor Swift fanfic on the side 🤣 It's so unhinged. Took a turn toward SciFi in the middle. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Well, it's been a rough last few days, friends. From nazi salutes to the general uncertainty we're dealing with, it's easy to feel defeated. Let's keep our chins up and keep fighting. Stick together. Stay creative and let out voices be heard. Couple of new AI pics of Alyth: #resist #spooky 000
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Sewing together a story with different real-world mythologies is a lot of fun! My plot notes are full of Aztec and Norse fare. Also, getting a 1500's New World character to a specific time in Europe via historical events has been rewarding! #booksky #writing "Skald" image is AI generated. 010

Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Been a busy last few days! Got frustrated with a huge misstep in my current chapter, so I went back and edited my prologue and first chapter. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 04/01/2025Veronica (Nica) and Alyth—two sides of the Protector archetype in my novel. Where Nica sets boundaries for the MC, Alyth happily breaks them. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 29/12/2024Been chipping away at this beast for awhile. So much going on under a canopy of rich exposition. I'm usually not huge on making angels a race of people in fantasy (usually overpowered and boring), but it works well here. All the characters are deliciously flawed, too. #booksky #books 040
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 26/12/2024World building can be quite fun. Sasquatch Haven is a dive bar in my ficticious town of Azure Creek near the CA/OR border. Two of my characters meet here under mysterious circumstances. The chainsaw carving of Bigfoot has become a point of humor and regular discussion. #writer #writersky #spooky 130
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 23/12/2024"Do you truly feel nothing for how your teachings left me scarred? Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 22/12/2024Seven chapters down and plenty of material plotted out. Whew! Can't wait to get all this down so I can start properly editing. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 19/12/2024"She seemed unaffected by the flurry as snow swirled around her, bowing to her will." Ever have a character you love writing a little too much? Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Decided to see what all the fuss is about. Pretty fun! Has a BotW feel to it. The lore is interesting. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 15/12/2024Throwback to last year when I saw Xandria and Battle Beast here in Orlando. It was my first gig in awhile! Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 12/12/2024Corporate culture is so toxic. If you don't speak up, nothing will change. If you do speak up, you're accused of stepping out of line. The worst people are rewarded, and being good means being taken advantage of. SIGH. #WFH #Corporate 000
Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Writing woes... Be careful when giving your characters special abilities. Damian's Spooky Room @dla6.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Good morning. We've been trying to get into Dead Island 2. As LA natives, it does a good job of nailing the tropes, and the game is very sleek.
