“This is an issue that plagues most municipalities, and has gotten worse over the years,” McLaughlin says. “Double poles have caused construction delays, blocked sidewalks, and created safety hazards. And municipalities currently have no way to remove them or enforce removal.”

Yesterday, the legislature passed a $4B Economic development bill. If you read the papers, all you’ll probably know about it is that it clears a path for a new soccer stadium in Everett. It’s quite a bit more than that. Here are some highlights:
