This is the mountain irrefutable proof that city and its owners can’t get their story straight. They are quoted as saying that the Abu Dhabi government does not pay any of the Etihad sponsorships and that all funds are paid for by its own liquidity. GOTCHA!! #MCFC #Cheats

Even if City somehow manage to get a technicality on the sponsorship charges. Theres still the dodgy payments to managers/players. There's still the non compliance etc. Honestly I don't think they win the appeal. All evidence has already been given and independently judged guilty.

So apparently City's appeal is that it was state funding. But I'm under the impression that had been there initial position from the start. So there's nothing new. They can't put forward new evidence at an appeal either. Surely this appeal just gets rejected? #lfc

The cope from some Man City fans is that the sham sponsorship income meant the club overstated revenue and so overpaid corporation tax. So they are due a refund! Awesome! Um, no. City paid *zero* corporation tax because they lost buckets of money. The receipts:

Now that's not to say Emery or Villa can't win a title eventually, but it takes time. It takes a few seasons in the Champions league, it takes good management and a bit of luck.

If you gave Unai Emery a billion pounds I think there's a good chance. he'd have won a title with Villa. Like Pep, Emery is a great manager but when you have to sell your own players, when your squad depth lacks quality, it hinders your chances. Peps legacy is 100% tainted.

I've just read it. Very strong and unequivocal.

He's going to tie it to inflation or 2.5%, whichever is larger, so it will go up every year and on top of that, as we get older we don't need to worry about having to pay out individually for our social care or that of our parents. Personally, I'm ok with that.

As long as I see rejoin EU and a National Care Service firmly planned in the next manifesto I'll vote Labour. In the mean time if we can all see council houses popping up in our local areas, and a few other things that'll help. Certainly don't expect to see it over night. It has given me hope.

Excellent speech I think Burnham means it and it feels like he will do it or at least put it all in a manifesto for the next Parliament. I want brexit undone I want mass council house building I want NHS for care I want to undo privatisation I want PR I will vote for that

Yep, I've heard a couple of City fans show humility, including their ex chairman but the majority are still arrogant. I've heard several City fans say the Prem will collapse without them. I think more likely the Prem collapses with them still in it.

I'll feel sorry for City fans when they feel sorry for the moments their club stole from us fans of other clubs. We all knew they couldn't legitimately have built the teams they did. Some City fans are not showing any humility at all. Their club cheated. Every trophy since 2008 is tainted. #lfc

I think for every year City committed fraud or tried to cover up they should receive a points deduction. So for example, if they broke the rules for 10 years, then every year for the next 10 years they should get a 20/30 point deduction That's them probably out of the title and possibly top 4 #lfc

That is what I hope for too! I don't want the titles, they're tainted. A fine to a state run club is a mockery of the whole thing and for so many charges to be upheld then it surely has to be a ban from being in the Prem for a few years. Or to that effect. 🤞

But what are those titles worth now? My first reaction was that, but really I think I would rather every club that can take legal action against them and City get a Premier League ban for a few years. As in relegated a couple of devisions.
