Thomas Bangalter, one of the members of Daft Punk, was interviewed recently for CHANEL Connects. During the interview, he made the statement that AI doesn't work in the creative process. 🚫🤖 Most artists, musicians, and creative professionals agree. 🎬 Video by @matcreates on Instagram

Good to see Detroit isn't sold out yet, I just hope I have the money in time to buy a ticket. Either way, hope the tour goes well!

Too many people trying to rewrite history by saying Toonami was the one that made Cowboy Bebop popular... No! It was Adult Swim. Adult Swim was the first to premiere Cowboy Bebop in English on TV in the United States and helped it gain mass appeal. youtu.be/DnzcJypc2GU?... Do your research. 🤦‍♂️

Brandon from Digging The Greats did a fantastic video where he absolutely destroys any delusion that people may have to use Ai to make music. This video is a love letter to those who both cherish and make music with a passion, and the creative pursuit of all artists. youtu.be/CVXewkmZ3hc?...

He is going to be spoiled in about one more year with Scha Dara Parr, King Giddra, and ナオヒロック＆スズキスムース. Screen grab from Mobile Fighter G Gundam Prologue Special (1994), same year we got gems from Gang Starr, Nas, Beastie Boys, Jeru The Damaja, Method Man, and more.

I've also helped out where I could be DJ'n for MCSDA, both for events and teaching DJ classes. (Photo from 2017) Again, many people have helped contribute towards MCSDA because we believe what it stands for. Not only for Hip Hop and SW Detroit, but so much more. Again, congrats MCSDA! 🎉

I was there when MCSDA was in it's proto-form in 2015 before MavOne really got things up and running the following year. This video was one of the first promo pieces for the Youmacon Hip Hop Show, which kicked off in 2015. youtu.be/F0EYvbsh5ms?...

Congratulations MCSDA on celebrating its 10 year anniversary! 🎉 MavOne really put his all into helping make the studio into a community hub for everyone, especially people in Southwest Detroit. Also big shoutout to everyone who has helped build MCSDA with MavOne over the years.

Disappointed to see DJ Qbert using Ai slop for new Scratchy Seal records. It's one thing to see someone just share a post because they don't know better, but Qbert actively chose to use Ai instead of hiring artists. I'm not in the mood to babysit my elders, but definitely not supporting him now.

It's ranged from a number of people not just specifically Hip Hop musical artists per se. DJs, graffiti writers, event organizers, breakers/dancers, community leaders, etc. The issue is wide spread and something I hope those with influence over their communities help educate others on the problem.

DJ RX-78 @djrx78.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

It's sad to see old heads in Hip Hop using generative Ai. Many of them either use it as an "easy button" for making promo, writing essays, or get easily distracted by the "shiny keys" of some video remix of 70s kung-fu movies and something else. How do we educate them that is not ok? #NoAi 🚫🤖

It’s notable that Yuji Ohno appeared in quite a few Lupin III specials! I think 6 or 7? I’d have to rewatch and make notes again. He and Yasuo Otsuka cameo’d the most in the series, by far.

I still can remember during this performance I went to when he starting playing a solo of Secret Desire. Brought me to tears because what felt like a surreal like dream was actually happening. Beyond thankful for his music and the influence it has had on my life. 💔 bsky.app/profile/djrx...

Yuji Ohno was one of the very best to ever do it. Without him, I wouldn’t have fallen head over heels for Lupin. My life wouldn’t be the same without being so taken by that iconic theme. His work on that series and beyond mean more to me than words can describe. Rest in peace, king.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Yuji Ohno. A legendary musician who was the heart & soul of most of the music of Lupin the Third for nearly 50 years will certainly live on as his music & themes will continue to be synonymous with the famous thief.

I was fortunate to see Yuji Ohno perform live a couple years back while I was in Japan. He is truly one of the best composers of all time, not just for anime, but in general. Let his legacy always be remembered and celebrated. bsky.app/profile/djrx...

For Pos, healing meant facing the grief, speaking on it, and pouring that love into the music - making sure Dave's presence is felt in every moment. Grief doesn't go away. But expressing it can change how it lives with you.
