15 years ago today, I spent my only day outside the wire in Afghanistan. It was *only* 45C, and I wasn't fighting for my life... The day gave me so much respect for the folks who wore this kit day in and day out for their entire deployments. Still, a day I'll never forget...

After much digging, I managed to figure out the identity of an RMC cadet in a photo based only off of the inscription on the photo. Who'd think that "Bill '66" would be enough to identify someone some 94 years later... And it's a VERY early Karsh photo, taken within months of his shop opening in '32

Luke Willson can fuck right off. If he hates the CFL so much, why does he collect a paycheque from TSN for working CFL games? He's rude and ignorant towards fans of OUR game, and seems to think that anyone who disagrees with him is stupid. The real shame of it is that he's a good analyst. Fuck him.

They disgust me. It's one of the worst things in professional sports.

Finding joy in a returner running by a bunch of offensive linemen isn't exciting, it's ridiculous. I watch football for the competition between great athletes, the chess game between coordinators, the execution of game plans. I'm not interested in a circus act play.

2 OUA games this weekend were won because of missed FG returns. It's a disgrace to football. The game should be won and lost with the men battling in the trenches. Not on a kicker shanking a kick and a superior athlete running by people 100lbs heavier than him on a 65 yard wide field.

If we are talking 60 plus FG's that are short I can stomach it because you chose that risk as a

team. Missing a 40 yarder and that costing 7 points. Pure stupidity.

For me, it was the first road jersey that I actually liked. The 2000 season jersey was just about perfect for me, the red and white Radically Canadian patch, the bold logos on the shoulders, and the drop shadow numbers. Still my favourite road jersey of my lifetime.

Not usually a collector of trench art, but then again, there's not usually trench art from my old unit available for sale. Just picked up this brass mug, presumably made from a 25 pounder shell casing, perhaps something smaller, by a member of C Battery, 1 RCHA, during the Korean War (1952-53)

Might not look like much, but I've been looking for these decals for YEARS! The number 83 decals date to the mid to late 90s, and the chrome horse decals are from 2019. So much gratitude to Geo for hooking me up, they're going to look great once I get them onto their respective helmets!

Sure would be nice if the City of Regina would, y'know, put the information that people with veterans licence plates were exempt from paying for on street parking somewhere, instead of making it so that you have to dig all of the way into the city traffic bylaws... 🤔

Went to my wife's unit change of command ceremony on Thursday, and I've gotta say, I was among the best dressed people in the room! Looked like an absolute boss! 🧡 Best part is, I didn't even yell at the outgoing CO! (I *really* wanted to though...)
