the thing also abt freddy is —-the brewers defense and bp were much better than the mets. the rays bp is better than the mets (not sure abt their defense). mendy was constantly trying to push freddy and with other teams they arent. fab 5 freddy is enough

idk if it will ever be trul repaired as you say. have to just make sure they function as a team. but i have to know, did everyone think that bringing in a player with a contract that is twice as much as lindor’s would go over well?

this is such a boomer take by me — i totally get it. but i want a team, the best way i can describe it is the culture that the knicks created under thibs and continued ofc under mike brown and got a ring!

i’d be fine if they stopped spending big money on players and actually built a team instead of a collection of stat getters.

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

nah i dont think the mets will sign him. they’re gonna build the team internally.

110

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

semien, bo, and truthfully soto’s contract is underwater too but we’ll be living with that one for a long time (unless he opts out). manaea & senga - thankfully there is only 1 year left.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

personally, i like the brewers, rays, and white sox.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

well the mets didnt go far enough with the rebuild and still have too many underwater contracts.

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

it already happened when they were left with only adam cromie - a lawyer who had already left working in baseball and then magically billy eppler popped up and took the job. if stearns is fired the mets will have a hard time finding someone to take his place.

you cant say it was the coaches bcs those coaches couldnt help freddie. [this is sarcasm btw]

020

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

okay but also the mets coaches did a lot with the other guys. ideally everyone is amazing but we all know it doesnt work that way.

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

thank you chelsea. your coverage was awesome. please stick around for more craziness!

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

sob but onto the knicks season! i considered rewatching this mets season but i dont think i should for my own mental health.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

it certainly would help the concerns for his legs if he made the transition to 1b

020

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

thanks for everything this year roger! you helped cultivate a fun little community here!

120

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

well ideally they move soto to 1b. if they wait, i wouldnt expect a big addition at 1b.

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

thanks for all of these recaps this year nick! always check them after each game. appreciate it!

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

maybe you’re right with the lockout he may opt-in. my guess is that he’ll opt-out.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

there really arent other good options on the market tho. jazz?

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

bo is going to opt out tho and soto should move to 1b

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

i was really hoping yhe marlins would knock off the phillies and or braves.

000

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

thanks for the update. they really cut it close!

000

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

it is more about the slot value. the slot value between 6 and 17 is a huge difference

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

dan arent both washington and sf not allowed to pick in top 6?

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

they really should have just done a full rebuild after 24. they would be in much better shape now.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

maybe the fans who are so upset abt pete leaving should have been more upset when the mets signed soto.

100

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

i thought boston offered 3. but as you said - pete opted out of a contract and yet you still blame the mets. make it make sense. when bo opts out are you gonna blame the mets too?

200

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

for sure on both points. i still love pete and i still love jake but im not crying over them.

010

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

sorry y’all. mets fans are apparently going to be crying over him for a decade. they dont understand that ownership chose soto over pete.

110

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

not sure how you are getting to this opinion. the orioles were the only team to go to 5 years and pete jumped on the contract. im happy for him! i dont get the whole disrespect angle when the industry consensus was 3 years. also pete had plenty of chances to sign with the mets if he wanted to stay.

110

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

imo nolan should be the #3. they should be adding a 1 and 2 if they truly want to compete instead of aiming for 85 wins.

000

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

where and for what? i really dont think he has much value.

000

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

im surprised we havent heard more shakespeare out of gary. did you see the pod where he said he was reading all of shakespeare and he’s like halfway thru?

110

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

i think the issue is consistency. they hire a new manager then all new coaches again. that would be new coaches in 3 of 4 years and 3 managers in 4 years.

240

((((( Zero ))))) 🏳️‍🌈 @djmisterzero.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

semien is the issue. we expected good defense from him and he lost that too.
