This seems like the academic equivalent of using a jailhouse snitch to frame a suspect. And everyone’s a suspect.

That depends on who we elect. If the Trump people had that platform, they’d be ramming it down our throats tomorrow. Mamdani’s success in accomplishing so much in six months, despite his predecessor’s $12 billion deficit, has made average folks realize “we can’t do it” has always been bullshit.

Mandate publicly financed elections for federal office. After you pack the SCOTUS. Outlaw stock trading for members of Congress. Institute revolving door laws banning future lobbying by Congresspeople. Repeat at the state level state by state.

Just remind them that “DSA stands for ‘Do Something, Assholes.’”Watching the “leaders” of both parties using our tax dollars for genocide abroad and state-sanctioned murder at home was the last straw for normies who work 12 hour days and can’t make rent.

CNN is already clutching their pearls over Water(bottle)gate. It’s exhausting. Fortunately, everyone can relate to throwing water bottles when talking about the American health insurance system.

Texas barbecued brisket was a true multicultural endeavor involving Central Texas Czech and German immigrants, South Texas Tejano barbacoa, African Americans, and West Texas cowboys. Like European Jews, they were making something godly from a tough piece of meat.

Kyle Kulinski had a good retort to this (I paraphrase): “Our Tea Party is getting universal healthcare and ending wars, yours is pedophilia and concentration camps and carpet-bombing schools.”

Zionism was devised by British evangelical Christians in the 1860s. (Tho Napoleon tried to kickstart an Israeli state 60 years earlier as a pawn in his own imperial schemes.) Today there are twice as many Christian Zionists in the US alone-30 million-as there are Jews in the world.

Exactly, which is why the conflation of antisemitism and antizionism, such as in the IHRA working definition that some US lawmakers are trying to codify into law, is dangerous for all Jews. If charges of antisemitism are used to shut down debate on Israel’s war crimes, the word becomes meaningless.

Paxton won by being endorsed by a guy who illegally moved Ghislaine Maxwell to a country club prison and pardoned a January 6 terrorist who went on sexually abuse two middle schoolers. Not to mention the dozens of accusations against said guy. Talarico has a lot of clapback material in his arsenal.

It is responsible for political strategy, branding, and the party platform. They run the party. They influence the selection of superdelegates and run the convention. So of course it’s hugely influential in candidate choice and messaging. If it wasn’t, no one would care about their autopsy fail.

The DNC has a huge impact on who we get to vote for, and who gets to run our lives. If our only choice is between Democrats and a lunatic fascist death cult, we want to have people with decent policies, or at the very least people competent enough to win and keep the fascist death cult out of power.

If it prevents the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives, the destruction of Iran and subsequent obliteration of Israel, global economic Armageddon, the possibility of Israel using nuclear warheads, and the regional war becoming WWIII, we should all gladly tell Trump he won bigly.

They’re going to have to rename the Streisand Effect the Hasanabi Effect, because every attempt to silence or sideline him just gets his message out to more normies, who are in a very receptive mood at the moment. Seeing the Trump admin follow establishment Dems off the cliff will be gratifying tho.

Another pardoned Jan. 6 rioter to admit guilt in child sexual abuse case
David Daniel has reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors after a judge ruled that President Donald Trump's pardons in the Capitol attack didn’t apply to child exploitation.

Since receiving presidential pardons, dozens of former Capitol rioters have gotten into more legal trouble. In Florida, Andrew Paul Johnson was sentenced to life in prison for child sex abuse.

Don’t discount the fact that he’s building an enormous bunker underneath the ballroom. Big enough to contain its own McDonald’s kitchen and warehouses full of Adderall, coke, Xanax, fentanyl, and Little Debbie cakes. For waiting out protests against cancelled elections and martial law.

He also famously described the runaway spending of just Reagan’s first term as “the hogs were really feeding.”

Why would HW Bush be excepted? First of all, his team was extremely influential on policy matters during both of Reagan’s terms, to the point of speculation that Reagan had dementia and the HWB team was running things. Second, Reagan’s drunk-sailor-on-shore-leave spending continued under HWB.
Chart showing spending under US presidents from Eisenhower to Trump 2.0, with almost all presidents presiding over eras with greater deficit spending than surplus aggregation. Lyndon Johnson and Bill Clinton are the only presidents who oversaw surpluses rather than deficits.

Expand the court, investigate Alito and Thomas for graft, prosecute if (when) it’s found, convict if (when) found guilty. Publicly finance presidential and Congressional elections. Offer statehood to PR and DC. Go big or go home. Project 2029 needs to start now.

Max Apple, too. They tried to warn us.

The cover features the title in orange text and a large ice cream cone, on the top of which are several orange roofed Howard Johnson restaurants and a desert with a saguaro cactus and large American sedan that resembles a Cadillac or Lincoln Continental.

The fact that there are actual shooters who are caught and survive is why I’m skeptical of the false flag narrative. On the other hand, when do shooters in America survive? We’re the nation where a 12 year old boy with a toy gun was shot literally 2 seconds after cops arrived on the scene. So weird.

Ironically, for the first time since the 1970s I’m hopeful for the left. The public has long favored left wing policies, but now they realize the Democratic Party is an impediment and it’s not hyperbole to say Republicans are fascist. But what a price the world’s paid for that enlightenment.

I don’t know, man. He’s by all accounts a smart guy. He could have talked to some folks at a gun show. Even ChatGPT could have given him a better game plan. Of course all that assumes normal conditions-extraordinary security, not-crazy targets. Nothing about this scenario is normal.

Two were hand-me-downs. The Savage was a Xmas gift. I was told the shooter was using an over and under but from what Ive read it was a pump chambered for 6 (or 8) shells. So if his aim was a mass shooting at say 10-20 yards or so, yeah he could have done some damage.

DJ Mac @djmax.bsky.social · 28/04/2026
Yup. A Savage single shot 20 gauge, a very old Mossberg bolt 20, and an Ithaca 16 gauge pump. All my dad’s castoffs. He even sawed down the stock on the bolt 20 so that an 8 year old me could shoot it. Later I graduated to borrowing his 12 gauges.

Yeah, I owned three shotguns by the time I was 10. Very familiar with the damage you can do, especially with buckshot at close range. Which makes this attempt all the more ridiculous, as his stated aim was to limit harm to bystanders. A rifle with a scope at distance would signal a serious attempt.

People forget, but Reagan was regarded at the time much like Trump-first as joke (Gerald Ford’s “prematurely orange” quip effectively ended Reagan’s 76 campaign), then as cult menace (SNL did a skit about “brain snatchers” converting friends into Reaganites), then as demented (84 debate glitch).

Taking a shotgun loaded with buckshot instead of a sniper rifle to assassinate a president, releasing a wiseass memo-manifesto in advance, and then not actually pulling the trigger is a great metaphor for the Democratic Establishment though.

“They’re innocent.” Of what? Was their crime that they were supposedly related to an Iranian military guy Trump assassinated? So yeah, they’re innocent because there was no crime. That it was all a lie makes it even crazier but it was batshit bonkers to start.

Think of the insurance premiums and deductible expenses you pay for healthcare - by far the highest in the world - as another tax you’re paying on top of everything else. So that we can kill, maim, displace, and bulldoze into mass graves people who didn’t threaten us even in their thoughts.

My own positions would probably take a book to explain (if for no other reason than the exercise of writing them down would be the only way I could organize them into a coherent thesis), but I would say I’m communitarian and solutionist. Hence why the current crop of DSA candidates appeals to me.

I’m not sure I’ve ever listened to an entire stream but I’ve certainly listened to him for hours at a time. (Not a fan of watching someone chowing down and running off for bathroom breaks but that’s the medium today LOL.) He’s become very informed and extremely eloquent. That’s why he scares em.

I’ve watched him since he was a pup doing BroTips on TYT. He’s objectively very wrong on occasion (“Russia won’t invade Ukraine”) and some of his takes are a bit too Old Left orthodox and seem kind of anachronistic to me, but he’s better than most of his peers and far better than all his critics.
