So look Malfoid can do all the yap she wants, there’s no way anyone can detect my long game of a massive, deep, debilitating debuff including over a big AoE. Bound by my blood. That means only I can remove it. This is why you don’t act out …

Now to perform the update to LTSC on the laptop. First to see if there's a need to wipe it of what little is there that I don't need and has already been archived. Hopefully this brings life to the hardware and it will be enough fallback.

Recover command on one, Revive command on the other. Go from there, and with proper junctions, abilities, you can bully Omega for the achievement.

010

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

But for the de facto… Quistis is main healer. Triple (Expendx3-1) first cast Aura. Regen + White Wind limit to be 9999 for Megiddo Flame. She also five-figure damages with Shockwave Pulsar.

110

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Getting the timing down to immediately hit the directions as soon as they come up for those two moves lets you just wail on Omega or any boss, really. As for a party with Selphie, that COULD work – it doesn't account for the massive RNG on her best weapon to get The End with her Limit.

110

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Mhm, I remember a general line to follow in Carding and refining for the magic spells. While completely unnecessary, I also always max out to trounce Omega Weapon before I face final boss. Squall, Zell & Quistis are my go-to for it. They never fail me. Booya & Heel Drop are all anyone needs w/Zell.

100

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

But FF8-wise, I find the joy in Card'ing everything, refining into items & magic to junction & get broken-ish. Every time, I make sure to get the Lion Heart in Disc 1. These are the things I do not want a remaster to remove, but to ease up on the insane grinding it'd normally take.

100

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Or if you're insane to practice on the harder difficulties w/grenade climbing, then this… but I am not that daring & patient.

You're going to HATE the level Colony Ship For Sale, Cheap! in M1 unless & until you cheese the "puzzle". (5, 6 and 7 to max height, shoot switch & ride 4 to the top; if you need the timing on 1-3, then I can point to solution…)

100

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

What should have been IS a remaster, not this… "THING" that I can only surmise is post-M2 to SOMEHOW explain how the eldritch chaos being is dealt with in that original timeline.

100

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I freely admit the level design low points in the latter that would cause running around for a long time trying to figure out the solution. Everything else around it was good.

100

「D.J.」◁ ワァー。 @djdthtrp.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Opinions all over the place about FF8 and how it breaking the mold is a sore point (I disagree) apart from the story. And while a classic of FPS, the Marathon Trilogy sees games 1 and 3 with some iffy level design. A remaster would hopefully iron over those moments.
