Some of the wood frog tadpoles from the big pond have graduated to tiny little froglets and are enjoying my garden! Thanks for being there little buddies!!

A very very small light brown frog with a darker band across the eyes and a white stripe by the mouth.

I got some spiders to show you, okay? Here we’ve got the male and the female of the dark fishing spider and the gentleman is trying to win the lady’s favor from a safe distance.

It’s the front of the garden bed and there are two spiders circled in yellow because they’re hard to spot

Here’s the fella! He’s small with a small body and he’s got dark and light banded legs

Here the big lady! She also has banded legs, kind of grey and beige. She’s got beautiful patterning and is an impressive sized spider!

I was out checking on the wood frog tadpoles at the big pond and look who made himself known with a song! A green frog!!

Looking down on this green frog from above. He’s small in the picture and mostly in shadow but his head is out in the sun. Sittin in the slime and the grasses 💚

Blinky used to be on a schedule where she would shed once a week after I fed her and put her in her water bowl, but now she’s shedding in the middle of the night and it’s a big surprise in the morning to see her all cleaned off!

Blinky the yellow pacman frog is half buried in her substrate but on her top half all her gorgeous warm colors and patterns are showing. She is in a half clay pot hide with some vibrant green fake plants draped over the top.

A pretty garter snake from this morning

A yellow and brown snake with a checkerboard pattern is curled up in a loose circle on some beach rocks placed next to the front garden.

This is a closer up picture. The snake either has one blind eye or the eye cap stuck on that side after their last shed. From how vivid the snake’s colors are, I would say that that shed happened somewhat recently!

I got all this weeded today and the darker part in the foreground planted. The sticks along the back are for peas and nasturtiums to climb up to the fence! Planted them 2 weeks ago along with sunflowers.

It’s a garden and in the very close foreground there’s a bunch of self seeded chamomile mixed in with weeds and then there’s a freshly weeded and planted section further back that’s a nice rich brown.

Hey wow, a hatching of orb weavers right in my own garden!!

It just looks like a bunch of yellow ochre dots on the bottom of a black metal fence post but they’re each a little baby spider!!

I accidentally dug up a June bug (or May beetle as some call them) in my garden! Guy’s like “Hey I was barely done being a grub yet!!” 😆

A dark shiny scarab beetle with reddish legs is perched on the end of my gardening glove clad finger. The beetle has one leg lifted like a dog taking a leak.

Listen, if this were an anime they would not even hesitate to give her a braid this close to the front so neither did I (much lol)

I’ve got a side part going and all of the hair in the front side is in a braid and I’ve also got a bunch of barrettes going on

My poor peach tree has the leaf curl and it’s eeking me out. I’ve read people saying to cut off the infected parts, but I don’t know that seems a bit severe??

A peach tree, bright green and pink, but unfortunately the pink is from the leaf curl fungus

Blinky last night getting settled into her plant pot hide after having a meal. She’s completely underground this morning 😆

I got to see and interact with my favorite type of local reptile today!!! The common snapping turtle!!!!!

A large dark grey turtle relaxing on the edge of a dirt road. They’ve got awesome shell ridges, long back claws, and an excellent long dinosaur looking tail!

Baby spiders that just hatched!! 🥹

There are all these little spots on a web against the white of the side of a house and each one is an individual being who has just been born into this world

This is a zoomed in shot that shows a multitude of baby spiders. They are yellow ochre in color and they are just figuring out the world for the first time.

Miss Blinky is all tucked in and comfy, watching me eat breakfast. She winked when I was talking to her!

Blinky the yellow pacman frog is mostly covered with substrate but her head is poking out. She’s got green plastic plants behind her and in the foreground is a cute cartoon sticker of a frog like her.

Closer up picture. I think Blinky has really sweet sensitive eyes.

@littlefreaklibrary.bsky.social told me that I look like what she thought the future would be like as a kid and I was very flattered

Well you got me right there and I’m sitting in a vehicle wearing a medical/safety white lab coat with a stretchy collar. I’ve got brown “over the glasses” sunglasses, a black and pink customized visor with a crystal on it, big plastic earmuffs for noise protection, a yellow bandanna on my head, and a half up half down hair style

Freshly metamorphosed dragonflies crawling out of the pond water onto the grass to let their new wings dry

There’s green grass growing up from another layer of plants floating in the water of the pond and that’s where the dragonflies are! There are about six of them and their wings look all new and folded funny

My monstera adansonii plants. The parent plant is on the left and just got transplanted yesterday because it had been in Reptisoil from Blinky’s old enclosure and wasn’t doing as well as the cutting (on the right) which was in rich Happy Frog potting soil.

A stringy monstera plant in a cool beaded hanger on an eclectically comfortable room. Transplanted into a kind of tall black pot.

A compact monstera with pretty big leaves! This is the healthiest iteration of this plant that I’ve grown so far!

Miss Blinky out on the surface after having a meal and a soak! I love her kind eyes 🥹💛

Blinky the yellow pacman frog is sitting half on her rock and half on top of the substrate. Her eyes are wide open but she has a serene expression. She is facing sideways and her long back toes are peeking out from under her big round body.

A year ago yesterday I helped this excellent being cross the road after she had laid her eggs!

A pretty large common snapping turtle who I would also say is fairly old because her shell is more smoothed out. She’s in the dirt of a garage driveway and almost at the road!

Here she is in the greenery of the ditch at the other side of the road after I carried her across! She’s looking up at me. She never tried to snap at me, for which I’m grateful! But please do read about how to safely move these wonderful turtles before attempting it because they can reach quite far and have a quick hard bite. Also please be sure that you’re carrying the turtle in a way that’s safe for them too! 💚

Frog and Toad have really got it dialed in

A picture of text from the book Frog and Toad are Friends. It says: “Don’t be silly,” said Frog. “What you see is the clear warm light of April. And it means that we can begin a whole new year together, Toad. Think of it,” said Frog. “We will skip through the meadows and run through the woods and swim in the river. In the evenings we will sit right here on this front porch and count the stars.”

This bee was asleep on a dandelion on the lawn that I was mowing. I stopped and picked the dandelion and put it off to the side - an area safe from the mower. This is the level of kindness I strive to give and it’s also the level of kindness that I like to receive.

I saw another neat spood today! This time an American nursery web spider!

There is a spider amongst the green plants of a lawn. The spood is light brown with a darker brown stripe down the middle and that stripe is flanked my two narrow white stripes!

(Pic is from a few weeks ago but captures the plants in question) Dang there is trouble on the Moonscape. This little mystery tree IS in fact another peach tree… because it has developed leaf curl!😫 And mixed in with the golden glow with similar looking leaves is an abundance of… creeping buttercup!

One of my second-round peppers came up! No more room in the trays so I set it in between/on top of the tomatoes and they make a gorgeous arch around it

Seedlings in pots at a close up. The tomatoes are TALL and arching over the little pepper, which is a brown jalapeño, which refers to the colour of the fruit it will grow - all of the plants in the pic are bright green. There’s a misty moisty morning outside the window

Here’s what I’m thinking for the color combos for the long furbies for the local art show this summer! Sharing this before they’re done: what a great way to halt my momentum!! 😂

There’s six plastic bags of faux fur (well one is corduroy with a stripe of fur) over bright floral or abstract pattern fabrics that will be the belly and ears of each long furby. I feel good about some of them and others put my mind on the edge of her seat.

Here is a lovely picture of the whole peach tree in bloom. I am lit up in the presence of this being

Delicate vivid pink blossoms all over the branches of this tree that is maybe like seven feet tall. It’s misty in the background and the lighting is warm tho it was kinda chill out in the mist

Here I am doing the same expression of another one of my furbies that I made; his name is Drainpipe!! He’s safe to go out in the mist because I switched to a waterproof faceplate finish last year! I like that that ties into the water aspect of his name!

The artist and her masterpiece, who is also her friend who she gets to hang out with and go on misty walks with. That’s Drainpipe the long furby! He is green and relaxed!! He’s got rainbow galaxies in his ears and belly!! I am brightly dressed
