I decided that my best move is to switch over to DJing from my laptop, so DJing can continue once I get the motivation again!

Being a DJ with social anxiety is an... Interesting combination

I'm taking a break from DJing for a while until I can figure out what is causing all my audio issues. It is really unpleasant to listen to, and I don't want to subject anyone to it. So see you whenever I am able to figure it out

I want to put it out there that if you are interested in DJing, you should try it. It is such a fulfilling and fun hobby. Ignore all the people that are like "Oh DJing is so over saturated, you shouldnt learn it" if it is something you want to try do it!

Work on new sets has been slow, but I am working on new material! I have been so scatter brained recently that I have been working on 4 or 5 sets at the same time. More stuff is coming though!

My new goal in DJing is to get more weird and experimental with my music choices, and really explore what I want my sound to be, and what it can be. I'm not going to throw any song under the sun into my mixes, but going to be more open to the genres and sounds I do pick.

If I could go back and tell myself one thing when I started DJing, it would be learn proper phrasing and beat matching as soon as possible. The first month or so I did not understand and know about either concept, but it makes a world of difference on the quality of your transitions.

I have started to find community in the DJing space, and it feels so nice. At first everything felt so competitive, and like everyone was out for themselves. Now that I found people that love each other and want to lift each other up, DJing has became much more enjoyable.
