If you're wondering how the heart jumped, one of the biggest parts is that the payment came through from our PyCharm campaign, which is made up largely by all of the wonderful individual donors who bought licenses through our yearly campaign. Thank you. www.djangoproject.com/fundraising/

I had to go back to grab this screenshot, because we have now zoomed past 100% But, to be honest, we needed to. I believe this will end up being our best fundraising year ever, but it is also our most expensive year ever. Please help us finish strong!

Django @djangoproject.com · 31/12/2025
With some payments coming in today, we should break 100%, but please make the donations coming. I'd like it to be our biggest year yet. Last year, fundraising was $317,598.

You can also access and render partial templates directly! This can be done using the syntax `template.html#partial_name`. This works particularly nicely with front end libraries like HTMX that often need to re-render a specific part of a page in isolation.
181
Django @djangoproject.com · 19/12/2025
Next up, rendering: This can be done with the `{% partial %}` tag. Give it the name of a partial template and the contents of that template will be rendered at that location in the template. This works exactly like `{% include %}` would on a template file.
100
Django @djangoproject.com · 19/12/2025
Firstly, defining partials: The new `{% partialdef %}` tag lets you do this. You give your template a unique name, and then anything you put inside will be the contents of the template.
100
Django @djangoproject.com · 12/12/2025
But how do you actually run tasks? With `enqueue`! This will add the task to the configured queue, ready to be picked up by the next available worker process.
100
Django @djangoproject.com · 12/12/2025
You can also add fields like priority, backend, queue name, and more.
100
Django @djangoproject.com · 12/12/2025
To make a function callable as a task, just add the `@task` decorator!
Python code snippet showing a Django task: imports send_mail and task, then defines @task-decorated email_users(emails, subject, message) that returns send_mail(subject, message, None, emails).
