Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 18mIt's even in the original comment, this guy thinks his friends would want to play HIS experience instead of having their own. They lack a theory of mind that other people or independent operators and not just NPCs. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 12hI wouldn't say that's a necessity of companies selling LLM products, especially enterprise based coding assistants and the like. The giants in this space have been incredibly reckless with their spending and scaling though and it's tough to see a sustainable business model for OpenAI and Anthropic. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026C'mon Drury, go for Hellebuyck just so we can all have a laugh. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026The most effective attack on Donald Trump in his entire political career was Tim Walz calling him (and his cronies) weird. These people thrive in the veneer of banality. 1301
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Even acting unpredictably like, considering the volume of these stories, I'm not buying it. These are clearly the stories the head of these companies want out based on their own rhetoric and so I would argue the AI is acting exactly as intended. 110
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I disagree. He can't complete a pass and it ends up with Bauer stuck on the boards trying to skate out of danger. Any positives are because of extremely limited and sheltered minutes. Fleury is an issue, he's a shell of who he was when he joined the Jets. Depth is once again the Jets biggest enemy 000

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I would argue that both examples are poor uses of the tool. It's a much more niche product than it's advertised as. 010

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Billions in revenue doesn't really matter when they're doing stupid things like promising $300 billion to Oracle for data centers and giving away image/video generation (the most costly part for them) for free. These are poorly run companies. 060
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026No shit, Anthropic and OpenAI are burning money too quickly to be long term sustainable companies (especially OpenAI). 180
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Yes, basically everyone in Silicon Valley startup culture does or are at least tied to Rationalism and effective Altruism which aren't too far off. 2190

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026It's a special type of brain rot that in this hypothetical scenario you wouldn't simply destroy your phone too. Don't fuck around with Faraday pouches if the risk is that high. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026If there's an event of this scale I'm not sure what good a laptop is going to have for me anyway. In the case of some AI apocalypse I'm ditching any form of thinking machine and stocking up on agricultural manuals and supplies. 040
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Jets looked good for the 1st 10 minutes... Arniel is right back to his bad habits after showing some proactive line shuffling a couple nights ago. I really don't get why Pionk played Morrissey replacement and not Samberg. 010
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I'm baffled by Pionk being the ice time leader by a pretty good margin for the Jets D tonight. He was unbelievably bad and you didn't need stats to see that. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Also, Bauer. That experiment has to end. He's totally hopeless at playing hockey and the media push as everyone's new favorite player is so stupid. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026It really shows how dumb it is to dress a guy like Bauer and why Ferraro and Pionk shouldn't see any significant minutes together. I never noticed before tonight how bad Pionk is at breakout passes too. 100
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 10/10/2026So Kash Patel has no idea what an FBI agent does day to day. Almost all their work is investigative. Subsidizing Tae Bo classes would be overkill for the amount of combat training they need. 000

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Given Arniel's deployment of Bauer, I'm equally as worried about 27 minutes for most of the top 4 as I am that Fleury or Bauer to shit the bed in their 6-10 minutes. 100
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Dario Amodei has Effective Altruism and Rationalism ties just like the other thought leaders in the AI space. Both OpenAI and Anthropic behave very much as though they believe they're fulfilling the Roko's basilisk thought experiment. A decent chunk of them think they're creating a new god. 010
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Koepke-Barron-Lambert would be a fun to watch 4th line. Rosen might benefit from being with a stronger play driver than Viggo at C, even of that line lacks finish across the board. A top 6 forward is sorely needed on this team though. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 09/10/2026The saddest part is that to the people who vote for him it's a feature and not a bug. 010

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 09/10/2026It also depends on how long each GM's leash is. I doubt the rumored candidates are under much pressure but guys like Guerin, Dubas and Sweeney are in rough positions if they underperform. 000

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026All of them? No. The thousands of Alsatians sent to the Eastern front so they would have a harder time defecting? Absolutely. Conscription means they don't have much of a choice and so a huge chunk of the rank and file don't share the opinions of the ruling party. 100
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Some do, not everyone is willing to take that risk and it's wrong to believe they should automatically make that choice. Demonizing all Israelis is wrong and saying they have a choice when the choice is jail or service is a false dichotomy. 1 of those is obviously an safer route for your future. 100

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026You so can't blame an 18 year old for doing their mandatory service. A fair number never even enter combat roles and are simply avoiding jail time. There's monsters in the IDF for sure, but Israeli citizens don't have a choice for whether to serve or not. 290
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I was going to suggest maybe a diaper changing robot instead of a book reader for this guy, but then I realized the funnest part of my day is my kid smiling and laughing on the change table. Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Unfortunately it might be more that they see themselves as the the upper class and that you have (replaceable with AI) staff for child rearing. It's made the terrible family dynamics of medieval royalty accessible to everyone. 110

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026More testing is probably the most important reason that I do. My job has shifted much more into the realm of QA and defect rates have gone way down as a result. There's also certain features that would have taken me weeks that I've done in days. Its a trade off and you have to know when to use it. 090
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026This is something I've been very curious about. LLMs are averaging machines and it can make them very good at seeing aggregate patterns that humans miss. For that to work it assumes a reasonable dataset to actually build an average. I've been wondering how useful these tools are for frontier fields. 000
Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I produce code much faster. I spend far more time reviewing and testing than I did before. Ultimately I deliver things at basically the same rate. Getting requirements up front is also far more important now than if I was coding it myself because a Claude session makes a mess of mid session pivots. 3942

Possibly a person @dj9898.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I'm also half watching while I play with my baby and am blown away that the Jets strategy of letting the Avalanche tire themselves out shooting uncontested is somehow working. 120
