I love an upcycle project & I have to say im pretty pleased with my latest creation. Two solar glass lights from the garden are now 2 terrariums using aquarium glue, charcoal, small stones, moss, some plants & a wee mini temple. Lids replaced with cork. Spritzed with some distilled water & tah-dah!

I'm guessing there may be some sore heads today, but im sure it was worth it! I spent today constructing my daybed...the dogs love it. Well one of them does, the other isn't quite sure! I have to say its pretty nice spending time just "being" in the garden and not "doing"!

So the next step in my attempt to use less plastic and be more self sufficient is homemade lip balm and liquid soap. In the kitchen its just more practical than a bar of soap. Im in the process of making a salve for chapped lips but it will take about 3 more weeks. 💋 👐 #homemade

This is beautiful! I did some glass panel painting with my acrylic pens recently. I usually use them for rock painting. Its not quite finished yet but I will block in some of the colour with brush to give a smoother finish.

Here is the progress on my 2nd post festive project! My first was the mosaic toilet sign and this is my attempt at replicating a (part) stained glass panel above my kitchen door. Still needs a little blocking in of colour and detailing so it is a WIP 😃

Finally finished my mosaic sign for the toilet! Taigh-beag is Scottish gaelic for the toilet (lit. little house). It certainly cheered up this useless little space above the door. Just a final clean and polish once set. Im pretty chuffed how well it turned out. 😁

On a less political note...as it has been on the chilly side the last couple of days ive introduced my eldest beagle (14) to a dog sweatshirt. I thought he would fight me on this (lol) but he has realised it provides warmth and stops him shivering so now he seems unbothered by it. ❤️

Dogs are a blessing. I have two cheeky beagles. I can impact their world by throwing a ball, giving them carrots or taking them a different walking route. It reminds me that even though I am one person, the ripples of my small actions can become waves. This can work with humans too! 😉

So after about 16 months I decided I was ready to buy a memorial ring containing my mum's ashes. It arrived this morning and im really emotional but also happy with it. My mum would definitely approve. It's beautiful and will be cherished. ❤️

Its my birthday month and I usually treat myself. This year i decided to buy a hydra water fountain...a little extravagant but it will be so lovely to listen to the trickle of water during yoga/meditation! Im very good to myself 🥰

I started growing fruit and veg during covid and every year I've gotten a little better at it. When I harvest I keep some of the produce/seeds for the next year. It never fails to amaze me when they grow into new plants. This year I'm excited about blackcurrant, cherries & hazelnuts! 😃

Yes it is. So there are strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and honeyberries. I've also got blackcurrant, cherry and even hazelnut bushes. My seedlings are in the kitchen but I'm feart to finish my greenhouse! 😆
