I liked Three Houses which had a lot of not-tactics activities too but they felt more cohesive and attached to the tactical gameplay, mechanically and story-wise, to me.

Playing SNES SimCity on DOS ZSNES on a 25MHz 486 at such a slow speed it felt turn based. But i enjoyed it anyway :p

Star Ocean, Seiken Denetsu 3 (i think the recent official rerelease called it Trials of Mana), Tales of Phantasia, and Bahamut Lagoon, all played around the time their fan translations first came out in the 90s/early 00s on ZSNES

I barely have interest in booting up my PS4 or Xbox One anymore. Earlier consoles? Yeah they still get play. But everything feels like it just got sanded down and amalgalmated and stopped being interesting or unique, before any of the more recent controversy.

Like, I have a Switch, and a Switch 2, and I'm still excited about a fair bit of stuff that Nintendo and their partners are doing. And I have a Steam Deck to take my PC games on the go... But despite being someone who has a massive collection of consoles I just... Have no interest in the PS5/XS

Amusingly I have rarely been to Connecticut and never for long. Only to visit their airport.

Born and raised in Western Massachusetts (so kind of New Englander with a lot of Upstate New York influence), lived all over the country (Virginia, Ohio, Washington state, Illinois, Massachuseets), and this seems to peg me as some strange mix of a Californian and a New Englander.
