Wanted to share the update from a local reporter via Facebook. Ed and his companions will be going to someplace better for them. 😊

There are indeed a lack of large animal vets. Especially in middle Tennessee which is half urban/suburban and half still very rural with many farms and livestock.

According to reporters, there was supposed to be a vet on the chopper. Unclear if that happened or not. Here's the best reporting from Nick Beres at news channel 5 via Facebook

It's so obviously done on purpose. They don't want the media to show the crimes they're committing.

Lindsay aka diz @diz4good.bsky.social · 09/06/2025

I don't think they should be pets but zebras are legal in Tennessee. We locals have had great (and good) fun following Ed's adventures. I'm glad he's okay.

They tried to corral him for days and he wasn't having it. The chopper was supposed to be for a tranq shot then move him to a truck. They ditched the tranq (don't know why) and went with a net and airlift instead.

The owners have 2 other zebras as well

Slow walk it, pass the buck where possible (eg I requested a needed doc from Joe, waiting on his response), and blame gov policies (eg the data used to determine this has been removed from gov websites and I am unable to assist).

Fucking cowards too afraid to show their faces bc they know people will come for them

I mean, the Pentagon lies about their line items 🤷‍♀️

The question is: will men be required to take menstrual classes too? Because we all know it's men who think ectopic pregnancies are viable or that a woman can "shut down" pregnancy from rape... 🙄

Oh that's just my everyday panic kicking in 😂

I keep hearing they returned the women bc it's a men's only prison but i don't recall seeing any actual evidence. This is one argument being used, that if El Salvador can return some, then they should be able to return Garcia.

Why Respiratory science? Is this about covid again?

I know it's not ethical and just wrong, but I really wish vumc would refuse to treat her after this. I bet she'd change her tune when she needed expert or life saving care only vumc can provide in this area.

You'll laugh. You'll cry. Both are equally acceptable.

That's my point. Did you read it? *I'm* scared! Imagine how others feel

Jfc this is so scary. And I'm a white, hetero, married, cis woman with no protests or platforms to brand me. I can't even imagine what minority groups are feeling right now.

There are ways to challenge tho without breaking the law. Cloture for example. Dems just give it up when it's there to serve a purpose. The bipartisanship of 30+ years ago is gone yet dems think if they give enough ground, they'll get repubs crumbs.

110

Lindsay aka diz @diz4good.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

Yes but when the other team is always cheating, maybe you should challenge the rules. Dems are stuck on status quo and refuse to consider the game is rigged.

Lindsay aka diz @diz4good.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

This is why everyone has lost faith in dems

I had one cat that always slept with me. She was my baby for 18 years. When she passed 5 years ago I was inconsolable. I started sleeping with a stuffed animal just to be able to sleep at all. Never looked back and my spouse has no issues with it.

It's not just the word "unconstitutional" they should use. They should be calling this an attempt at a coup or dictatorship. EVERY.TIME. Using euphemisms or indirect language makes media complicit in anything that follows!

Made sure to delete mine the other day. The initial optimism/ promises of large scale genetic testing - being able to contribute to possible scientific breakthroughs - were exciting. I should have known it would fall to capitalism like everything else.
