I’m so glad that I was able to sit down and basically play my way through it unspoiled and uninterrupted. I can’t imagine how bad it would have felt to have ANY of it spoiled imo

It’s such an important game to me! It’s one of the first times I realized that games could do something like that, storytelling wise? Like I knew games were an art form, but something about Journey did something to me lol

I think at heart I’ll always prefer the older style. But I think there’s definitely place for a middle ground à la Echoes of Wisdom’s structure, where it gates access to certain skills/items/etc until you’ve completed a specific selection of dungeons and areas in the order the player would prefer.
