Myth: Persons with disabilities are  not sexually active and do not need sexual and reproductive health information. Fact: Everyone has the right to accurate, confidential and accessible information and SRHR services. #PrideInEveryIdentity

Disability is not a single story. It intersects with gender, sexuality, race, class, age, HIV status and many other parts of who we are. #DisabilityJustice #PrideInEveryIdentity
Disability Justice is really political. It is all about being deliberate in our day to day organizing.

How do Donors present themselves while giving grants to the Feminist movement? How do they include people with diabilities? Are they deliberate? Are they purposeful? How do we reach communities on ground and recognise that even within disability, there are groups that are marginalized for example refugees with disabilities, queer persons with disability. Disability Justice is aboult inclusivity, being deliberate and intentional.

Pride in Every Identity continues. In July, people across movements came together to reflect on identity, dignity, access and belonging. We are carrying those conversations forward by sharing the voices that shaped them. #PrideInEveryIdentity #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs
Disability Justice is very intersectional. Hilda, Participant Disability Justice should mean no one is left behind especially when we are having conversations about the struggle for dignity, equality and freedom.

Ideally, disability justice should recognize that many people hold multiple identities. They might be disabled, queer, young, come from a rural area, economically or otherwise marginalized.

💜 Disability justice isn't separate from other justice. A person with a disability may also be a woman, LGBTQIA+, a refugee, Indigenous, a worker, or part of another marginalized community. Our identities don't exist in isolation — and neither should our movements.
What is Disability Justice Across Movements Disability justice reminds us that disability is not a single issue—it intersects with every part of our lives and every movement for justice.

A person with a disability may also be a woman, LGBTQIA+, a refugee, Indigenous, a young person, a worker, or part of another marginalized community.

These identities do not exist separately, and neither should the movements working to advance rights, dignity, and equality. What is Disability Justice Across Movements About?

Building stronger connections between disability rights, gender justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, refugee rights, youth leadership, climate justice, economic justice, and other social justice movements.

When we work together, we challenge exclusion more effectively, amplify each other’s voices, and build communities where no one is left behind.Through Pride in Every Identity 2026, we are creating space for organizations, activists, and community members to learn from one another, share experiences, and imagine what genuine solidarity looks like.
Because Disability Justice is not only about access.

It is about belonging.
It is about leadership.
It is about transforming our movements so that every person can participate fully and with dignity.

Together, we are building disability justice across movements.

When healthcare systems exclude people, barriers become violence. We need accessible services for all. #accessiblepride #accessiblehealthcare
Barriers to SRHHR. 1. Systematic barriers e.g institutions with no ramps, no interpreters and stigma. 2. Many health centers don’t provide adjustments people need e.g easy communication support. 3. Medical persons fail to offer respectful service delivery to gender diverse and persons with disability

Accessible SRHR means people can get information and care in ways they understand and can actually use. #accessiblepride #accessiblehealthcare
What is accessible SRHRSRHR stands for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, which includes the right to health information, services, dignity, and bodily autonomy.Accessible SRHR means services are designed so everyone can use them including people who need sign language, clear communication, non judgmental providers, and disability friendly spaces Accessibility is more than ramps- it’s also about how people are spoken to and whether they are fully included in care

Intersectionality isn't academic jargon—it's how we name what we live. When you're disabled and queer in Uganda, you don't face ableism on Monday and homophobia on Friday. You face both, always, compounded. That's why single-issue advocacy leaves people behind. #MindfulMondays
What is intersectionality. Tooted in Black feminist scholarship coined by Kimberle Crenshaw Intersectionality is a lens through which you see where power comes and collides where it interlocks and intersects. It helps us understand how different aspects of our identities overlap and create complex discriminationFor example your race, sexual orientation, disability, class, your region, and language shape your experience of gender.
You cannot separate these parts of your identity

Starting the year with Mindful Mondays Every Monday, we'll share education rooted in our research. Intersectionality isn't academic—it's survival. Our lives are layered. Our struggles are connected. Justice must meet us where we are. #DisabilityJustice #Intersectionality
Sexual orientation. Gender identity. Income status. Disability is not neutral. It doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Intersectionality reminds us that we are not just one thing.
